I have two job interviews tomorrow.

One is a second interview to be the finance lead on an SAP implementation accross 9 hospitals and then become director of shared services for those 9 hosipitals for the finance function.

The second interview is the third interview to become controller of a small biotech start up.

I'm feeling really confused becasue I'd love both jobs. The SAP job would pay almost twice as much as the controllers job but would be really high stress. The controller's job doesn't pay that great, but the company seems like a great place to work and they're really serious about work life balance. With them I'd probably be able to continue with one of my alcohol outpatient treatment groups. It would also give me experience in a bunch of new areas that would really round out my resume, that I could then leverage into a much better job down the road.

I've thouroughly researched both companies but am feeling nervous as all get out because I really need a job. And I'm not sure which one would be best for me and my recovery right now.

Sometimes salary isn't everything. But I suppose for some it can be. Good luck! I'm sure you will make the right decision for you.

Good luck, splitimage. You obviously have what they are looking for. You will do great in either of them I am sure.

Thanks for all the good wishes folks. whew am I glad today is over.

Interview 1 for the SAP job was gruling - lots of questions about what I learned from the various sap implementations I've worked on before as well as about my ability to lead without authority.

Interview 2 - for the controllers job was witht he companies president. I think I answered all his questions ok, but am maybe not sure I sold myself as much as I could have. According to the recruiter, I'm the first candidate to make it to the third interview stage and they're interviewing 2 other candidates who are way junior to me. I think it's basically going to come down to money - if they're willing to pay my minimum salary requirements to get someone with my level of experience (and even then I'd be being payed significantly below market) or if they'll go for someone junior who they can pay 20K less.

Now it's back to the waiting game - which I hate.
