What the???!!! I was on my lunch break, driving to a gas station. I was just completely out of it, and I hit the curb. Good thing nobody was walking on that sidewalk. I blew both my passenger-side tires.

What the crap is wrong with me today???!!!

I just blew TWO tires...

Of course, I was pulling into the gas station that is next to the store where my husband works. I went in to get the keys to his truck so I could get back to work. He's pissed at me.

That stinks! My son has been having tire issues lately too... Pot holes, a tire slasher at work, hitting curbs.... Kid works grave yard shift and I am beginning to wonder if he is getting enough sleep....
Glad you are ok!!

All-wheel-drive is a wonderful thing....until you have to replace the f*king tires.

$400 bucks. We have to do all four. Only two were blown, but since it's all-wheel-drive all four have to match. Duh.

The rims might be shot on one of them too. Another hundred or so. Plus towing. Subaru roadside will only tow to a Subaru dealer - and the only Subaru dealer in town doesn't do tires!!!

Then we have to come up with $1,000 bucks for taxes by the 15th or get the wrath of the lovely IRS.

And therapy and meds are gonna cost me at least $200 bucks a month now. That's just the copays.

And the way I've been doing at work lately....I highly doubt I'll be seeing that after-tax-season bonus they promised me. Wouldn't even be surprised if I got canned.

Husband cut his hours since the holidays. Hasn't been working as much, and he's paid hourly. But we still have to reserve a spot at daycare, so we still pay for full-time childcare even though she's only there 2 or 3 days a week. All because his schedule is so different every week.

AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I hate this. Just when things get better - wham!

And it's my own dang fault! Nobody cut me off. I just kinda blacked out. I wasn't with it. It's amazing that all I hit was the curb.

Ok, wow. Just when I thought there was not much left between us...

My husband just did the most amazing thing. Maybe he's noticed that I'm just not doing so great lately. I dunno. Maybe he found my psych's business cards in my purse and figured something out. I dunno.

He left work, like a few minutes after I told him about my car. He walked over to my work, got his truck, went to Les Schwab, bought two tires - went home and got his jack, went and put two tires on my car, enough to drive on it...then drove my car over to Les Schwab and it's in there right now getting the other two tires put on and balanced. He even called around to some used tire places to see who would buy the 2 'good' tires.

He did all this without me asking him to. And he was supposed to be at work till 4:00 today, but he just told his boss he had an 'emergency' and he left, about 1:00.

He only called me to ask which brand of tires I wanted on there!!

Aww....how sweet. See, this is one of those little things where I think okay, maybe he really is a nice guy and maybe he does actually still love me and I'm just too stupid or messed up to really see it. I mean, he really went out of his way to do all this just so I wouldn't have to worry about it. He knows I'm stressed out with work and I just couldn't handle this too.

Thanks, honey! Sorry I've been a b___ lately.

What a sweet thing for your hubby to do. Sorry about your tires - that's a major pain. but at least you weren't hurt.

I hate buying tires. So expensive just for rubber. So does that mean if I wear a dress made out of rubber tires that it will be the next hottest thing because expensive things are just.... attractive I just blew TWO tires...
