So, I've been thinking back lately, and I realised fro societies veiw I was/am a very weird kid. (You know, doing strange things?)

So I thought to myself "Hey, I wonder if other people here did weird things too?"

Here are some things that I think were pretty weird....
. I used to eat leaves and grass...and even dirt once
. Liked to tie things (belt, rope, scarf...) around my neck sooo tightly, it was borderline chocking. Everybody would FREAK OUT, but I still did it anyways.
. I liked preschool shows until the about 2nd-4th grade Were/Are you a weird kid too?

Lol, I cant really remember when I was a kid that much, my memory is really bad, but I always remember the constant feeling I had like I was an outcast...

Im not sure if I did silly things or not, but I used to think that my thoughts werent normal and that no one else had them

I ate a spider once aswell just because lol. I remember that!

I used to suck the nectar out of the flowers in my mom's garden.
In daycare instead of crying when my dad dropped me off i'll refuse to sit and sometimes i'll stand all day until he returned.

Oh definatley was and still am.
When I was really little I would talk to my imaginary friends in public...I was conviced that the computers at school where in fact alive and where going to kill me. I loved the smell of dirt and mud..and still do. I read the dictonary for fun...the big ones..college edition. I'm still trying to convice my English teacher to let me have one as a graduation gift. I watch Wonder Pets, Max and Ruby when ever I get the chance. I like being my geeky weird self..I also bust out into song whenever it is possible..but that is just the Theater nerd jumping out!!

I didn't eat any weird objects, but I was definitely strange in other ways.

I learned to read very early so by the age of 8 or so, I became obsessed with reading the medical dictionary. My parents probably really shouldn't have allowed that because it definitely fueled my anxiety as a child, but it was so damn interesting. I was also obsessed with reading this book of home remedies that my mom had. Not that we ever used any of the remedies... I just loved reading about them.

When I was really young, I loved game shows, especially The Price is Right. In my house, there was this really tall cabinet in the kitchen for snacks and stuff. It almost went up to the ceiling. I would pretent that the Big Wheel was on the side of that cabinet and I would "spin" it constantly. Hahahaha

I remember one incident in which I placed a bunch of bananas on my head, and wore a bunch of beads around my neck, and came dancing into the living room singing, "CHIQUITA BANANA!!!'

I was also into gymnastics so I was constantly flipping around my house-- doing cartwheels through the living room, flipping off of my parents bed in order to perfect my dismount.

Okay, yeah... so I was a little peculiar.

I was weird always talking to the others inside me. I always thought others had people in them too. I was such a quiet child that no ever knew I was there. I was in trouble for being so quiet because they could not find me.

My aunt had these ceramic kittens that I loved to pet. I would get my hands beat for touching them. Then when I would leave them alone, I would be told to come pet them, so they could beat my hands again.

I would also pull the light off lightening bugs to make jewlry. I cannot believe I did that as I do not like bugs. Even now, I am terrified of spiders and bugs. And I think spiders hear what I say. (I know that sounds weird)

you all sound totally normal to me. it was all the little perfect conformists that were weird, wearing the same thing as everyone else, thinking the same was as everybody else, acting like everybody else. they are the weird ones.

Do not feel worried because you do things out of the ordianary. Everybody is different. We all act and do things differently then others. I remember doing a lot of crazy things when I was young like eating glue stick. Relax! Be yourself! and Who Cares What Others think. I have a few body piercings and a tattoo and most of my friends and family do not like them. But I do not care-what they think because I know everybody has different tastes.
Take Care!

I remember as a child being convinced I would be blind when I grew up. I read every book I could get on blindness and how blind people coped. I practice walking with a cane with my eyes closed, tried to learn braille, would harness up the neighbor dogs and pretend they were seeing eye dogs, etc.

I also remember devising a game for me and my friends where we sit in the woods with bare arms spread open and see who could last the longest while the mosquitoes bit us. I always won. Were/Are you a weird kid too?

I was always an outcast. But I never really stood out either. I wasn't a conformist and wasn't accepted by other kids, but adults couldn't identify what was different about me. I wasn't the teacher's pet type either. I was just quiet and withdrawn.

I never thought I would live past 30, maybe 33 at the most. I didn't know how to deal with it when I did. I wanted something to be wrong with me so that someone would care. I shouldn't list the things that I wished for because it would be insensitive to people who do have them, but I wanted to have various debilitating and fatal conditions, and fantasized about people being concerned about me and taking care of me, etc.

Ah, yes....weird by the standards of growing up in an impoverished coal camp community I was! I used to sit by the mahogany floor radio searching for classical music, rather than going out to play with the other kids. When I found something I liked, I'd dance "ballet" around the room. My mother would have anxiety asking why I didn't go outside and play.
On the playground at the three room schoolhouse, I would go out and catch grasshoppers and put them in a milk container, and then go peruse the flowers blooming along the fence, observing the dew on them.
I sang love songs aloud in the classroom during playtime. Kids made fun of me.

Yes, I guess you could say I still fit into this too! I was quite prone to the constant bullying of others because I was so different.
