have to wonder if we are being asked to pay attention, to remember we are one world, that suffering is universal.

but also in this day and age we have instant news reports; some of these events we would not have heard about for days or weeks in the pre-tech age.

but with Global Warming, have to wonder if there are more disasters happening or we hear of the ones happening in the farthest corners of the world sooner than we used to.

in any event, i am sorrowed for those affected Earthquakes, Cyclones, Tornadoes, Flooding, Fires...anyone else getting worried?

Good point on the quicker news reports. I'm sure things like this used to happen a lot, we just didn't hear about them the same way as we do now.

And yes - I feel so bad for those who are suffering thru all of this!! I was getting ready to send some money to the Red Cross to help with the Myanmar thing, but now with so many other things going on, I'm not sure what to donate to. I want to help a little bit, but I feel a bit powerless. Kinda like hurricane Katrina. Cash only helps so much when those distributing the help don't know what they're doing...

Hey Razzle,

I freaked last night when our extremely good weatherman said our tiny town was in the bulls eye for severe weather tonight. The F4 tornado in Seneca, MO, on Saturday was just about 70 miles from here.

I don't have a basement, and have six dogs and seven cats to keep safe.

I think we could be in end times.

I heard on the news this morning that we have had a record number of tornadoes this year. BUT - as a resident of Florida - I also know several years ago we had a record number of HURRICANES that ripped South Florida all the way northwestward to Louisiana APART!

With that said, I think it's kinda like the economy - it CYCLES.

Then again - it could be an attention getter. I always have used that rule in my life. When things start becoming difficult I look around to see what I may be doing wrong or bad decisions I may be making. I usually end up changing something small and balance returns.

Perhaps mother nature is trying to tells us to slow down.........who knows????????

My heart goes out to those that have had these storms RIP through their lives.

I'm not worried because I have a singular profound Hope. It does make you sit up and take notice. Everyone has been expecting "the end times" for 2000 yrs. I believe this is it, but still... no one really knows for sure.

Normal earth and nature phases. We just notice them more because of the news coverage.

Although more of these events are taking place, I am amazed at the low amount of death and injury in the USA. I think things will increase in intensity before backing down. Just like right now, the earth is going through a cooling down, not a warming. If you check the stats you will see that I am correct.

The media loves a disaster, just try to be still and listen to voices of you ancestors.

I don't know if I think it's the "end of the world" per se, but just strange that so many natural disasters happen so close together.

And kinda getting scared since I live close to about 3 or 4 dormant volcanoes. If there can be an earthquake in the midwest...then another Mt. St. Helens (or Mt. Shasta) isn't too hard to comprehend!

But on the bright side - what I told my husband. I'd rather live close to a volcano than close to a hurricane/tornado/frequent earthquakes place. Because just look at Pompeii - the people died instantly!! No pain!! Right??!!

(yeah...right...!)
