Has anyone ever had the feeling that you can also hear in a way (like rain-sticks when you turn them upside down) down the back of your head/neck?

That's a very interesting way to describe it, and had not considered using the rain sticks as a way to express it. I'm not on any drug cocktail, btw, but do have nerve message problems. However, this type of thing happens when my spine is out of place somewhat (verterbraes have minds of their own?) in the neck. I only get it upon movement, when the bone spurs in the spinal canal ...the strangest feeling... ... feel pressure from inflammation?

Anyway, cartilege and the like can crackle like that ...I think my PT calls it crepitation? the strangest feeling...

A RAIN STICK! That's EXACTLY what it sounds like! I hear mine. I always assumed it was cartilage and bones and such... But yeah... a rain stick! ... Good description!

I never knew how to describe it until I started searching yahoo, and someone described it as rainsticks. And thats when I said "OMG"! Thats exactly what describes it! I don't think its harmful in any way, but I wonder if there is some medical term out there for it. I knew some people in here would have experienced the same sensation and some wouldn't, hmmmm.
