Sometimes I feel like anyone who hasn't struggled with their mental health really understands just what it means to have a good day.

Today I didn't pick at my skin. I smiled, and I didn't feel ashamed. That's all it took to make today a good day.

What does it mean to you to have a good day?

Hi Volume,
I'm delighted you had a good day! And welcome to PC too! It's true that big huge things don't have to happen in order to have a good day.

I feel pretty satisfied if I don't have intense emotions that get the best of me. Good conversations both at work with colleagues and with friends make me pretty happy. If I am successful making a positive impact on somebody else's day, I usually feel pretty good too.

For me though, today was NOT that kind of day. LOL! Hopefully tomorrow will be....
Best,
Okie

A good day for me is when I can put a smile on at least one person's face! T has told me I should go into standup comedy or write a book....I think I'll just do my funnies face to face...it's much more rewarding!

Glad you had a good day ((((((( Volume )))))))!

A good day...a good day is just making it to and through work and then coming home and painting or reading. Nothing spectacular. Just a day without so many negative intrusive thoughts.

A good day is when I do more things well than not.

A good day is when I manage my pain and stress, and can push through what I have to still help others.

A good day is any day where I get through it and have another day to work with! What it means to have a good day (oooo no dancing!)

A good day is one in which I do not think about drinking or cutting. Where I do my job competently and get along with my coworkers.
It's an added bonus if I see something beautiful or funny that makes me smile.
One of my meds has emotional flatness as a side effect so even when I'm not depressed I never really get super happy, but I enjoy a good concert, reading the paper or a new novel, and playing my harp.

To have a good day in my eyes: I cannot fight with any loved ones, if its a day i work, i have to have a quiet day with friendly customers, and be rested up. I think as long as i get treated the way i treat others than it is a good day. Oh and a day without palpitations, or anxiety is a good day too.
