Its funny started like a normal day. Son in shower.....me asking ..Are you up? Dumb question shower is running. Mind you its 5 am..and some days all my questions are a little off.
He made me coffe((son)) how great is that. Made a huge difference in my morning.............your thinking where is the sheep going with this?
Told him ((ty)) and listened to him even thou I was not awake yet.
Made a huge difference on how he went out the door(( cause he knew I cared)))
Later this morning went to post office...no biggy right.......hummm
I had to take other truck as daughter had mine. I got it stuck in a hole sorta...LOL
Your thinking still no biggy......A man was kind enough to help me get it backed out. With out me hitting cars and ppl. He took his time had a ton of patince and made a huge difference to me as I did hit anything. or ppl....
next to the bank. .....they had a big dumpster along walkway....had one of those nice bright white linners in it........all yellow taped off.....but oddly no lid.....the wind was blowing......yes your right it was
asbestas.......so what do I do ? I know what that stuff does and how it blows.......well I tell them at the bank....they need a cover.....and then the person behind me does....and the person behind them.....
So between the 3 of us we made a difference.....i hope.......
Next was a hail storm....well again you're thinking no biggy?
it was to the kids walking home from school..........every house took kids in till the storm passed.......that made a differnce to those kids......
The point to the story is everywhere along my path today ppl cared.....
no matter how tired or stressed or late they were they cared....
what a good thing .................seems small but its not.......
(( today everyone mattered or cared)))))))
just the sheeps thoughts

Its funny you never know how a chain reaction of kindness and willingness to listen and having patenice can spread from person to person
I said
"Told him ((ty)) and listened to him even thou I was not awake yet.
Made a huge difference on how he went out the door(( cause he knew I cared)))"

Awhile ago his bus driver called....I thought ...oh no..............
what did he do now...............awwwwww
She called to tell me she had taken the 3 kids on his bus out for icecream ............ only one kid said ((ty))) it was my son
She called to thank me .............cause she said it made her day
awwwww
I know its a little thing but so important..................
Sorta like payforward......each act of kindness was given to the next
((TY))) for listening ..........little story compared to the events of everyone lives........((TY))))

We once saw a movie called "Pay it forward" and how you can change the world, just be nice to 3 different people, and they in order to pay it forward- they have to do a nice thing for 3 other people...and it just goes on and on. I thought the movie was really cheesey, and some moments were unrealistic...but hey, it had a nice meaning behind it.

Alot of people lately have been commenting about how sweet or nice I am. I know it sounds really stupid, but how can people NOT be nice? It's not a very difficult thing if someone drops their books and stuff in the hall to help them pick it up, it's not a very difficult thing to give a hug of appreciation to you grandparents, and it's not hard to at least respect/tolerate people who you don't agree with rather then tear them down. (unless they are hurting others)

people caring makes so much difference, doing what they are able makes a lot of difference .. i think we should caution ourselves about all the giving we try to have for others...

if we are not careful, we easily become drained and unable to be our best.. thats why having a large network of helpful others is the best for all of us.. we all need breaks from time to time and need rejuvenation... isnt is great tho? we can each help each other with that also with the understanding and compassion that we already possess (thanks to lifes' experiences)..

thank you for this very thoughtful and helpful thread muffy

(((muffy)))

Thank you for this thoughtful, encouraging thread.

There are wonderful people in this world who would do anything to help others.
If we see it with our own eyes, we do understand this.
Perhaps some of us had Grandparents or family like this.
Or a friend. Or neighbors who helped each other after tragedy struck.

Sometimes, fear cuts people off. As we know from here, it happens to the best of us.
The good thing is, it takes a small act of kindness to get back in the game.

That is what is so encouraging about your thread and the responses on it.

No matter how anyone is feeling, even a road rager can make room for the ambulance to pass in silence. We can all do a part to help the whole.

We are in a state of recovery, as a nation. Our cities are too, with economical difficulties. There is something for everyone to do to pitch in. How about those who lost everything in the floods and fires, and tornadoes recently? There are people in need of clothing, etc. so, if it's on your heart, find out where to donate in your community to the new victims and they may even come and pick up your contributions.
Nothing is too small, even a saucepan, says 'you care'.

Thanks for sharing Muffy ... and I hope your daughter smiles at you in person shortly.

love and peace,
night
