I'm just curious about the waiting time elsewhere. In Milwaukee, the polls opened at 7 a.m. I got to mine at 7:10 and there were 150 people in line. Out the door and around the building, it was insane.

I've heard reports from Ohio that there is a THREE TO FOUR HOUR wait now.

So, if you exercised your constitutional right, I have 2 questions: One, how long did it take you, and two, how was your weather? How long did it take you to vote today? It's about 45 here right now, but I'm guessing from the freezing I was doing this morning that it was in the 30s! I want to hear from someone who had sun and warmth! How long did it take you to vote today?

I'm in Ohio. I went to my polling place (the basement of a house behind mine) at about 7:20 a.m. I think I waited about 25 minutes at the most. It was raining and 68 degrees.

My husband went right as the place opened at about 6:30 a.m. He didn't get back home until just before I left. Early birds.

I went right after work and got there about 4:45. I waited in line for maybe 2 minutes. I was out in less than 5 minutes. In fact, I just got back! Did everyone get their little sticker?

Well, I'm also in Ohio, but I waited for 2 and 1/2 hours! Yes, it sure was raining, and I walked the mile to my place of polling (a mile's not too far, but plenty of time to get wet) no 3 or 4 hour wait, though... I want during an "off" time... the people who came in 45 minutes later than I did easily had to wait 3 and 1/2 hours, though.

Oh man -- Wisconsin is a battleground state too, but my 45 minutes in line this morning is looking pretty good! How long did it take you to vote today?

I walked in, got in the booth, made my selections and walked out. Two minutes tops. How long did it take you to vote today?

My husband and I went mid-morning - maybe 10:30. We waited in a fairly long line for our precint but there was NO waiting for the other precint in the same building. We didn't have to wait outside, thank goodness.

I'm in Pennsylvania, and there was no line at all for me. I get out of work a little earlier than most people, so I can get to the polls before the after work crowd. It's usually a light time.

I went at 7am to vote and had to wait in line for my turn. I spent 45 minutes total from standing in line to walking out the door after voting. The weather was light rain and in the 40's. I am in Michigan!

It took me maybe 20 minutes tops. The hold up was the election officials had to call and change our address from city to county so we could vote correctly. That was about 10 min on the phone. We were in and out in no time flat. It was raining and not sure of temp but I believe in the 60's with a strong north wind. Pretty cold....considering I'm in Arkansas. LOL.

I'm in South Florida, the weather is gorgeous, felt like mid 70s and clear with a nice ocean breeze...

the line was only to the end of the building, under it's overhang /porch area... but it took 1 1/2 hours.

The system is crazy or maybe the ppl.. 4 books, 3 ppl. The lady in front of me, had to give her info to the first worker at the table.. with her own book... after a minute, she said to her, no you're not in this book... go ahead (to the other 2 workers with 3 books) then she did the same to me... not there.. I said, OH, that's the book of those who never voted before! She said yes. I said, well if you had a sign or said that, I could have told you I wouldn't be in that book. By this time, the lady in front of me is still ... waiting.. though she is the only one there... the next worker closes a book... it has A-F on it... the worker verifies the lady's name... H----? Yes.. H---- The worker opens the A-F book and looks, but doesn't find it... no you are not in this book... wait... and she pulls another book.
I went around her to the other lady. I said, One worker didn't show right? Right. Ok,... I gave her my IDs... I'm in that book... pointing to the correct one. I KNOW! she said, I apologized for insulting her, But that lady didn't know... I laughed when telling her.... the other voter was still there when I went on to the inside line!

sorry guess this was way more info than you wanted....

We didn't have enough volunteers here either, and they're just as stupid, although Wisconsin isn't notorious for being stupid like Florida is <g>. A friend of mine who lives in Orlando has a bumper sticker that says "Don't hate me because I'm a Florida voter!" How long did it take you to vote today?

You wanted warm & sunny, sell Southers Calif was pretty much that. Went to vote aroung 3:30. Walked there since it is just down the block. Stood in line for about 15 minutes. Finished in a couple of minutes. Walked home with the afternoon sun (about 65 degrees). Ran into a neighbor that we never met & stood talking to them until just after 6:00pm. A nice way to meed neighbors (& of course their dog).

It was warm today...thank god... It was probably about 55 degrees out and I waited about 45 minutes to vote. I must say though that if you were disabled you did not have to wait. I think that that is a really good idea especially since we were outside for a good chunk of it.

How did they know if someone is disabled? Did they have a sign saying this? Wonder if FL has something like that, or if they don't care about anyone LOL
