no the ballifs wont take anything first time they vist dont invite them in the house, they can enter your house with out a warrent
and if you dont let them in they cant force there way in on future vists

did you know you can go bankrupt and you might be able to keep house

we looked into that .... it costs £1000 to go bankrupt ..... we dont have that kind of money .... we only owed the bank a third of what we owed a credit card, the dcredit card accepted our monthly offer, the bank took us to court and we now have a 3rd ccj ..... they want £3,000 NOW ... i called the court and she is sending out a form, so the bank may put the debt against our house when we sell it ...... noone is interested in our house ....

we can't rent cos of the ccj's, but like you said yesterday we have to ask the local council .... but we need to stay within catchment area of sons school cos of his A levels .... i just cant take much more to be honest .... 2 hours til Tony gets home and I'm climbing the damned walls ...... i really hate this country, huby was made redundant, we tried to get a business going ... it failed, we went under, we get no help apart form tax credits and i get incapacity and disability on grounds of mental health issues .... i am applying for a part time job through guilt, then they'll take money off me ... so how in hell does this country think it helps people .... i'm just so sick of it all

Jinny

ty for the reply Kathy .... i know you have been thru all this too ... (((((((((((((Kathy))))))))))))))

I don't know about there jinny, but here if you go bankrupt with a lawyer it costs a $1000 or more, but if you do the paperwork yourself it's less than $300, which is still a lot of money to someone in straits. I can't give you advice beyond checking on that. joys!!!!! Be nice, don't avoid them, talk with them, try to make arrangements....if there are many people in the same situation, well, they just want some agreement and not stuff or to put everyone in jail.

joys!!!!! Breathe...

oh inny,

such a difficult situation.

I wish I knew the ropes there.

seems if they can lien against the house, all the creditors, then you can live there and not have to move ... but i don't know about these things.

I'm just wishing and hoping things improve quickly for you, and you get what you need out of this whole experience.

sending calm thoughts to you this minute!

I really am sad you have to go thru this.

If you show your house again, try making some spaghetti and meatballs hours prior to the show ... makes people go ... 'yum.... this is a real home'

oh, and use some rosemary, wink-wink

love,
night
