I've got a date!!!!!

Tonight!!!!!!!!!! And he's almost 10 years younger. I feel so deliciously wicked!!!
I'm afraid I'll do something stupid though. I haven't had a date in a very long time.......He's worldly and smart and funny.........

But I do need some propping up today.......so that I don't just go into my "I'm too depressed for anyone to date me" mode.......The mind can be a very dangerous thing, if you think too much, like most of us do...so lend me all your best "first date" tips and keep my mind occupied with that!!!!!!!!!!! It's been thirty years since I've gone on a date so whatever I might have to say is totally and completely outdated. Besides, I was never a "wild woman" like you, so... Well maybe when I was a teenager but that was in another life time.

Oh Lord, I am dying laughing. The twins will be adequately secured..not that they need that much pinning down...those days are long over with.:-)The D cups were retired in my 30s. Okay, I'm practicing batting my eyes now...it makes it harder to see the screen, but I'm doing it. And I'll practice walking also.....As for clothes...it's been raining here for days so I'm wearing a new black top and pants....besides Shar knows I don't own one pair of pantyhose...so the creeply crawly thing won't be going on.......and THANKS for the compliments....I'll try really hard to believe them......I do know this: he likes music.....and his favorite song is one of mine....the Everlast song "Put your lights On"...that was on the Santana album a few years back..so we're in synch (yeegads, did i say insych?run Justin, run) on the music front. He's cooking dinner at his house.... homemade yakimando for appetizers, green salad and then some fancy salmon dish that he's perfected...and wine. My daughter said "Good Lord, he's going all out for you"..and it does sorta look that way, doesn't it? He got up at 5 a.m. and skipped the gym so he could do a last sweep through the house....cleaning...Lordy, ladies, I'm a bit overwhelmed....it's hard to feel that I deserve all this. Know what I mean?
And Laurie, I don't want thirds. If TofuButt has had your man...then I'm going for someone else's husband!!! He's too spoiled for me by now!! Rolling around in tofu.....I wonder if it was silken or ????And since I'm a vegetarian, I'm stepping outside my diet....but I can handle that.....The salmon just sounded too good to resist.

Wild works at times!! You do know that I used to work for Willie and briefly for Waylon Jennings . I think I've seen just about everything that can go on in the music scene....but I know NOTHING about this Army world...all prim and proper and calling cards and such.....I'll just try not to committ two faux pas in a row!!

I'm getting really excited and the sky has opened and the rain is just pouring down...AGAIN.....we're being punished for something and I don[t know what it is...but it has to do with being wet and cold.....BUT, I have been listening to music all afternoon, so that's helping me stay centered......I made hot rolls too...nothing sexier than rolling around in bread dough, right???:-)

You can bet your bootys that I'll give a report first thing in the a.m. I've just been grinning like crazy most of the day....p

I died laughing when I came home last night and saw Ems message......I'm probably 20 years older than her and it just tickled me silly to see that!!

Okay, here goes........he was waiting on porch for me when i drove up.....we exchanged pleasantries and went inside...he started dinner. yakimando, crab legs, rice, salad and salmon......and a zinfandel that was really nice. we made small talk.......he had music playing during dinner.......i looked good....he looked good.......house was immaculate....table was set in military precison. BUT, there is absolutely no chemistry.......so, after getting everyone so excited, myself included, i've concluded that it truly is Bill that i cherish and am just going to quit casting around, dating men here. that was my third date and my mind just wanders (caught myself thinking about photography frequently) and i'm detached as all get out......OR COULD IT BE ME??????? i discussed it with Bill, (and we're still e.mailing now) this a.m. and we're like "okay, is our attraction so strong because it's "safe"...distance, etc.it's hard to be pissed at someone when they're in a box in another box.. we decided that isn't it. we just recognize in each other the "lonesomeness" and honor it and we're going forward with our connection. he pointed out that it's been almost three years now.....e.mails, phone calls....now we're going to meet and we both already know what we'll say to each other....he's younger too..11 years...i asked him if i had something weird going on and he pointed out that my spirit isn't "old" and that is what attracted him to me in the first place. i did point out that his mother is only 9 years older than me..she and i can always talk about the 70s..polyester, etc...he died laughing.....he makes me laugh more than any human bean i've ever known. i mean laugh, as in falling off my chair, dropping phone, etc. (he's learning a new song on a new resonator guitar and will play it for me as soon as he's got it down.)

so, ladies.....................i ain't dating NO MORE> but i sure did smell good .....at least that's what the Lt.Col said....i had giggled at home because by the time you wash your hair, use the bath soap, put on lotion and THEN a fragrance...you have a different scent for different zones.......:-) and god love him, he's didn't get to any zone except my hair and cheek.....so, now lay into me and tell me if i'm nuts or okay!!!

Yes, you ARE nuts, but that's a completely different story! And that's also why we all love you! I'm delighted that you find yourself so enthralled with Bill. But you'd better hurry up and meet him face to face.

Looks like we're be meeting in Mexico for first week of December....might as well be warm, right? And I do love my Mexican beer with lime.......we were going to do Thanksgiving in Austin, but got selfish and decided we didn't want family around.

Laughter is just the biggest turn on for me. And I mean this man slays me two or three times a day. Fayeroe runs to me to see if I'm all right!! He can type one sentence and I'm off and running......and the phone calls are just one big laugh fest. His mother even thinks I'm funny...Thank God!

I didn't smell any pheremones last night....none whatsoever. Did I spell it correctly? He asked for second date and I said "no"....gently...I just wasn't there.......as they say in New Mexico, "I wasn't in the present" ......and right now a "traveling" song is playing on computer.....bluegrass....music slut that I am...a good example of my traveling mind is I've already left this town, in my head.....I'm ready for next chapter of whatever I can get into.

Don't you dare worry about age differences. My husband is 17 years older than me. My Mom is 8 years older than him. My husband and I were friends long before we fell in love. By the time I found out how old he was, it was too late to worry about age.

I think what originally brought us together was humor, great conversation and time. We still have the humor.
