Do you crank the heat up to 80, then open the sliding glass door to let the cold in?

Sorry if you all are sick of hearing about my roommate. I will be gone from her in two weeks. I just hate this.

Grrrr!

Actually, um ... yeah! I do! LOL. Well no, not up to 80 ... just up to 74. It's 9 degrees out, what do you do? I'm a fresh air freak so I like to keep a window cracked even if/when it's cold out.

Anyway hang in there, sounds like soon enough you'll be outta there and hopefully somewhere you can set the environment to your liking!

Um... sometimes? It's 9 degrees out, what do you do? But I don't do both at the same time on purpose. I just do it when I fall asleep with the heater on and wake up sweating. Then I crack the window by my bed just a tidge.

Your roomate sounds like she's over the top, Hun. I'm anxious for you to get out of there. It's 9 degrees out, what do you do?

Nope our house never gets over 65 in the winter. I about die when I am in a house over 75 degrees. It is hard to breathe after a while but I am considerate of others too by stepping out for a while if I have to be there long.
Yep, two more weeks and counting.

Angela,

As far as your roommate, I have a friend who has a cousin Guido who can take care of that for you. Just kidding...I think.

About the 9 degrees...I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, we don't do 9 degrees.

I hope you get out of there soon dear, and leave your troubles behind!

Hugs,
Greg

Thanks, everyone. Whenever I complain about the cold, she tells me it's because I'm "inactive" translation: fat. Whenever I complain about the hot, she tells me to close the vent in my bedroom- but if I do that, I will freeze because she's opening doors!

And Tomi, she doesn't just crack a window. She opens our front door and our sliding glass door all the way! And our appartment is tiny. Smaller than some people's living rooms. So that's a LOT of cold air in a little tiny place, and nowhere to go to escape it. It's 9 degrees out, what do you do?

Two weeks...

If I don't survive it, Greg, call Guido and have him take care of her AND remove my frozen body from this computer chair ok? Thanks much. It's 9 degrees out, what do you do?

Angela

Hey Sweetie, do what we've been doing, thermal undies and layers of clothing.
We should have the heat back on today, we got a grant from Sam's Club and were able to pay deposit so now they have to turn our heat on brrrrrrrr
Or throw her out the door hahahaha

Wow, I guess I really shouldn't complain. There is always someone who's got it worse, right?

Love you lots,
Angela

I used to go into chat, but I can't now because my internet is through the school. Their proxy server does not allow me to go into chat. I do have MSN messenger, though, if you ever felt like chatting with me It's 9 degrees out, what do you do? You can pm me, if you like.

Nine degrees?????? Nine degrees? You mean there are places where it is nine degrees out???

Just kidding. Been in Florida and generally south of Mason-Dixon line since 1972. This is a grim reminder of what I am going to encounter in the Adirondack Mountains of NYS.

Hope things get better soon, SweetCrusader.

WHEW! Then it must mean I'm not as crazy as your roomie, eh? It's 9 degrees out, what do you do?

Maybe Wendy (Rap) will let you come stay with her until your new place is ready. It's 9 degrees out, what do you do? I'd have you come stay with me but you'd be pretty darn late for school. It's 9 degrees out, what do you do?

What Pat did to her roomie's clothes sounds really interesting! Maybe you could take a lesson or two? LOL Your roomie deserves nothing less but a whole lot more! Maybe you could crazy glue the thermostat to YOUR comfort? That would be AFTER you've nailed all her warm clothes to the floor. LOLOL You could sneak a broom stick in the track of the sliding glass door and give her fits... at least until she figured it out. hehehe

Wendy is something like 8 hours away from me. She would love to have me come stay, and so would I, but we are at opposite ends of the state. She's in the far South, and I'm in the FAR North. I would be a little late for school It's 9 degrees out, what do you do? I'll be ok, only two weeks left...

Ain't that the truth!! We do not tolerate huge temperature swings. We pay through the nose for this mild climate dang it!! It's 9 degrees out, what do you do?

And ma wants me east for the holidays. I can't handle the ice on my windows this week (ice on my windows by the ocean!!!) so how would I handle snow?!

Oh so wimpily Californian,

You are all very spoiled!

I am questioning why in the WORLD I decide that living in Utah wasn't cold enough, I need to head farther North- as far North as I could get! lol!

We are now up to 19 degrees, though. Getting pretty warm here! lol!

I put a weather pixie on my site so I could see what the temperature was all the time. She's supposed to have different clothes on depending on the weather. Not here. She is ALWAYS bundled up. I've never seen her in any other clothes yet! Grrr...

In active? I'll make her inactive. My vote goes with Greg. My friend has an uncle Carmine It's 9 degrees out, what do you do? and he's honestly Italian. He's offered to have folks offed for me before. I think he enjoys it.

I'ma gonna make you an offer you can't refuse. It's 9 degrees out, what do you do?

Seriously, tell her its still 1/2 your apartment so in the co-living areas she's going to have to compromise. It's only fair. In her room, she can turn on the air conditioning. Don't let her make your 2 weeks completely miserable.

Maybe you could loosen cabinet doors so the handles fall off when she opens them?

LOL! I think I'll just get through these two weeks. There is no reasoning with her- I've been trying that for a semester. She is not a compromiser. And alas, I am a pacifist and don't like to be mean at all It's 9 degrees out, what do you do?

You could always do something she hates or that bothers her. Like when I filled the my dorm room with plants and almost suffocated my mean roommate...she had it coming...stupid little freshman. It's 9 degrees out, what do you do?

boy...too much time subbing today. I'm feeling very vindictive. It's 9 degrees out, what do you do?

At least tell me you turned off the heat. No reason paying astronomical heating bills. My brother freaks if anyone moves the thermostat above 63 in the winter. We all freeze when we visit...tightwad.
