Help! ARGH!

Is anyone else having problems with the new server?? I'm getting nothing but problems! First, my password wouldn't work so I got a temporary one. When I go to my profile, it won't accept a personal password nor will it change my email address! NOW I can't get into chat even after I made sure the port was open on my firewall AND downloaded AGAIN the newest version of Java! This is so damned frustrating! Sure hope this is the last server change for quite a while!

Well, all your complaints happened to me --- in the exact same way --- about two weeks ago, while we were still using the OLD server! LOL

This is what I did. I simply used the NEW TEMP password for a few weeks. Then (today, as a matter of fact) I went into my profile and it allowed me to insert my old password. We shall see if it works the next time I log in!

I have no chat complaints, however. My puter freezes completely in chat (yuck), so I have never even tried to go in there since we changed servers.

Well, it worked. It let me, after 2 weeks, put in my old password.
Could be it will be nice to you sooner than that? I hope so.

Another point: The "Welcome to the New Server" link doesn't work! LOL

Duh, Dalila! LOL I had a go-round with my link yesterday! I kept getting an error message saying the URL couldn't be found... even when I did a search and clicked from there!! Even when I managed to sneak in the back door, the title STILL said ERROR, ______ couldn't be found! ARGH!! LOL

Believe it or not, this new dedicated server is a good thing. I had the same problem logging on, but I was just real persistant and kept trying (along with with a few choice swear words) and it eventually let me in. You have to do the same with chat, just keep trying to log in, and you'll get there eventually. I know it's a royal pain in the ***, but in the long run, having our own server is going to pay off big time. When you get error messages, write them down word for word, and I'll do everything I can to fix your problem. Send them to me in a PM.

Yeah, there've been a few glitches. I couldn't get into the poetry forum the other day, it said 404, not found, like the forum had just disappeared... but it's fixed now. Hopefully all the bugs will be worked out soon. In the mean time, don't get too frustrated, and keep informing tech support.

Maybe I'll try to get into chat and see what happens. At least, I know I'm not completely alone, eh?
