they may have defeated you and destroyed your soul, but you have a spirit too. That part of you is not reachable by abuse. There is a sacred part of your being that is kept inviolable.

you are in extreme distress, you have suffered greatly. I care.
i am so sorry that your pain and memory leaves you feeling so diminished.

i am going to hold on to hope for you. Sometimes we have to do that for someone - i feel your value as a person. I can hold onto hope for you and i do. You matter so much.

do not give up. Get angry at them, but do not give up. You matter. Look around you people here care. Sometimes you have to fight to see a scrap of good, but it is here, please look.

Yes, I agree, sometimes it feels like we cannot go on; that we don't have an ounce of strength or fight or sense of self left. But that is not true. It is very difficult to build a life, get some joy & positive self-regard, loving relationships, & dispel fears that lurk around every corner when you have been abused (my experience anyway; I am not familiar with your particular past so I don't want to generalize).

I just know that there are deep wounds that need to be healed & it is painful as it is painful to apply a stinging antiseptic over & over again to a deep cut, but a permanent lifelong festering infection does not have to be the result of these wounds.

Let the strength of the caring people here hold you & protect you while you rest & renew your spiritual power. Take care.--Suzy
