I haven't tried it yet here, so I'm just curious -- how does the ignore function work? Does it mean you can't see any posts from the person you put on ignore? Does it work in chat too? How do you take somebody OFF ignore?

Forgive me if this should go in the technical forum, but it seems more people go here than go there. :-)

I would answer this, but I am not the best at explaining this sort of thing, and I don't know the answer in chat.

Take care,
Fuzzy

(Just in case it looked like I was deliberately ignoring you... although I doubt you thought that (lol)..)

In chat, you can ignore a person. I believe you right-click on their name and click 'Ignore' or there is some button to press if you highlight their name, something like that. Ignoring a person in chats puts their name in italics, and you can't see anything they write. I don't know how to put people on ignore in the forums, since luckily I haven't needed to do it question about ignore function.

Chat ignore and forum ignore features are separate. I think someone has answered how to use the chat ignore feature.
How to use the ignore feature of this forum:
<ul type="square">[*]to ignore a particular user you click on their member profile
along the bottom of the profile are the options to send private message, add to address book, show all users posts and ignore this user[*]click on ignore this user and you will no longer see the body of that user's posts when you are logged in at this site
reload this thread after putting me on ignore to see what it does question about ignore function

there are two ways to UN-ignore a user:
<ul type="square">[*]click on the member profile and along the bottom select--Stop ignoring this user[*]go to my profile and on that page will be an address book/ignore list click on that and then click remove entry of the desired user
If you have someone on ignore you will see their posts if you visit this site without logging in OR if you select print thread, in which case the print preview will show the user's post.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
