We'll, last night on the way home from a lovely visit with a friend my daughter paged me and wanted poster board as her science fair thing is due tomorrow and she hasn't even started. Of course, no place to stop. I made suggestions and she got defiant. 17 I guess. She is home today working on it. I go to work early because daughter's car is in the shop and drop hubby at work. Of course I have the 4 legged children with me. And all weekend my ears and face and jaw have been in pain. Wondering if it's a tooth ache. My son calls and is crying from school where he lives off campus 5 hours away. Had just told me last week he is not eating well so I speant $ I don't have to send him good food. Anyway, he is crying because he froze on a statistics quiz, second time. This is the kid with a 3.85, He knows that he needs to go to academic support because he gets anxious and has memory issues. He has PTSD and Bi polar. On lithium and risperadol I believe. He wants mom to fix it. I told him to call me back in a few as he said no one at the Student's with disabilities could help him. I called and arranged for him to go sign a release and have his diagnoses sent to the school so he can get accomodations for his disability. Meanwhile I am trying to do paperwork and juggle phone calls. I called the nurse at the docs and asked about the ear aches etc. She thought it was odd that I had no other real symptoms, anyway, bang, my tummy cramps and I feel like I have been to the amusement park. Came home with my work lap top for paperwork and am not doing it right now. I guess I am ill. this is a typical day with kids by the way. Now I have to have one of the girls pick up their dad at work and wait for the other to finish an appoint to come home. Just whining. Bleck, I do not like feeling ill.

Oh wisewoman....your life sounds like mine! For some reason, my kids can turn things around and think it's my fault that they waited until the last minute to start a project. You think that after they graduate high school that all that is behind you...........wrong! All my son has to do is call and make me feel like he needs his momma and I drop everything to attend to him. Problem is, he doesn't even appreciate what I do!

I know this isn't much help, but I wanted you to know you're not alone! Also, re your pain.....I had trigeminal neuralgia that caused excruciating pain in my teeth. It usually affects just one side of your face and comes and goes. You might check into that. Good luck (((((hugs))))))

WiseWoman,
I am so sorry that you are feeling ill. Can you get some time to rest? Sounds like you need a doctor and a hot bath and then bed. Please take some time for you. Get well soon.

It sounds like you are being pulled in a million different directions all at the same time but I think you are managing them well even if you don't. I'm sorry that you're not feeling well on top of all that. I'm glad you say you're going to the dr tomorrow, don't even think it is wasting her time. You need to do this for you. Sometimes it's hard for us to put us first. My T is trying to get me to do that now. I hope you're feeling better soon. {{{{{{{{wisewoman}}}}}}}}}

So sorry you are not feeling good. I actually kind of like not feeling well, because it is the perfect excuse to do what I love best -- pamper myself, lie in bed, read (if my headache isn't too bad), watch TV, snooze. If I had a puppy I would cuddle it. Yessirree.

If ya gotta be sick, abandon yourself to all the indulgences you feel deprived of!

Maybe you have the "I need to stay home and cuddle with my new puppy flu?" I don't feel good

I hope it's nothing serious and hot tea with honey is the cure. Hugs, from a safe distance!

Hey kids, thanks for the warm wishes. I wish it was the new puupy flu but I just woke from a nap and had a snack and feel bleck. I have been resting all day. In bed with puppies, including the baby who was next to me for quite a while. Emmy, you are too cute. I hate being sick. Thanks angel, I'll remember not to feel that I am wasting my doc's time. When I am ill I question myself, am I faking it? Trying to get attention? Etc. Yup, old stuff. I am the strongest most physically functional person I used to know because I never learned to feel my body feelings. Now I have to ask what to do as I did today when I called the nurse. At least others can make the decision for me. Thanks again for all of the love and well wishes. I can't tell you what it means to me. So comforting to someone who never dared be ill.

I have sinus infection, am dizzy and tender tummy. On meds. Son called, upset with living sit with chronic pot smoking and needs help, I am trying from afar. He needs to move. It takes a hammer to tell me when I am sick by the way. Worried about the kiddo, thanks again for all of the support.

((((((((((((ww)))))))))))))))) I understnad not knowing when to go to docs too. Do know that sinus infection atleast what I get leads to very dizzy in fact way past normal dizzy they have another name for it just can't remember it right now. Had to be on seasick pills for two weeks to be able to walk and drive. I thaught the doc was a quack when she perscribed them plus antibiotic, nose spray and Allegra for day and night. But I followed directions finally and low and behold it worked. Please take care of your self! I didn't have the tender tummy but anxiety will do that to me. You can only do so much!

Take care of yourself. Stress doesn't help, either, I'm sure. Enjoy being in bed and cuddling with the puppies. I don't feel good
