Born Under A Bad Sign

Just like the lyrics say. "If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have no luck at all."

I sent my brother a form to sign that I needed for the registry of Motor Vehicles. Even though my mother had a will, the whole process was quite extensive and confusing. She left him the car and he wants me to sell it. Anyway, he never got the forms. Where does the mail go when it gets lost? Why wouldn't they send it back to my return address if there was a problem? ARGH! Now I have to go back to the registry and deal with it again and my mind is such I can barely remember how to tie my shoes.

I sent a letter to Discover Card, canceling my mother's account. Here it is.

I got a letter today confirming that they canceled the account. The problem? They canceled MY account. Mine. Not hers. Mine. Now I have to straighten that out.

I went to the Dr.'s this morning as a follow-up. I had my blood drawn last Thursday. I still have a bruise from it too. The problem? They had NO RECORD of it. The visit was a waste of time and now I have to have my blood drawn again.

I know these things seem trivial but I'm not thinking clearly these days and it just seems overwhelming to me. I am so angry at the incompetency of these people!

I'm totally frazzled.

P.S. to make you a laugh alittle ...i still 8 years later get a notice every year my parents peaches are ready for pick up. And that this is thier last notice.
Im thinking those peaches are pretty darn old right now.

Snapped my glasses in half today.

Went to the eye doctor to get a new prescription because it's been awhile and she tells me I have something called Pteryguim.

This is characterised by an overgrowth of tissue in the cornea of eyes. This can be blocking to normal vision.

Caused by sun damage.

In the words of the Friends theme song...

I was on hold with my internet provider (3 different people) for over an hour. The 4th person came on and I said I was really unhappy about being on hod for what seemed like a simple problem. (When I moved they didn't change my online account to my new phone number and I couldn't pay my bill online.). The 4th person apologized. She attempted to *sigh* transfer me yet again and the other end rang and rang; she came back on and said she would call me when the person was available so I didn't have to wait. She called back a half hour later (naturally I was waiting, just not on the phone) and transferred me.. and the other end rang and rang for another half hour before I gave up. When I called to cancel my service since I'm moving again, the person told me if I had gone online I could have been helped. .......... I was back at square one!! lol lol

I hope you get all your stuff straightened out quickly OB

Oh OB, I am sorry this can be a real bugger. It happens to alot of others, especially involving business. You'd think it would be super easy. BUT sometimes the person on the other end that you're dealing with hasn't got a clue. And when a person wants something done, sometimes it just takes time, even if it shouldn't.

You know, if I didn' see your name at the top of this post, I would swear it was mine....

Everysince my Mother died 4 years ago, my life has been this way....if you have read some of my posts.....about trying to get my prescription the day the ice storm hit here......I don't think there is a day that goes by without something wrong happening in my life & it's mostly because of the incompetence of others......I (like you) try to do everything right & no matter how right I do it.....someone always swopes in & messes it all up. With my prescription, I had called before the end of the year to make sure there would be no problems with getting my narcotic med that I am on & sure enough, they gave me bad information & there was a problem right at when the ice storm hit & then when I tried to drive to the pharmacy, I crashed my truck into my mail box & got my truck stuck, so I still couldn't get my prescription even when it was finally sitting at the pharmacy ready to be picked up. Luckily, God does protect us & usually makes it turn out good (sometime in the future...not when we are in a panic over it though). There are some bad things that were needed like when my flute was stolen out of my truck when it was broken into (year ago Thanksgiving) in Albuquerque while driving back to Calif from KY. It turned out I needed the money from the insurance to pay for my meds.....something I didn't realize I was even going to need at the time......so I guess even when something is really bad & stays bad, something good for me came from it.....sometimes we have to look deeply for the good & stretch our imaginations......somethings I will never see the good come from that have happened.

I wish you some time of peace to recover from all that is going on....& hope that you don't follow my experiences for so many years.

& try not to let those bureaucrats drive you mad, we are at 6 years since our mother died & 3 years since our husband died & we are still too bogged down in paperwork to be able to sell the property the three of us owned jointly, lol, which is now falling down around our ears, as we can't possibly afford to maintain it

There is our sailboat ~ all ready to take us away from it all!

So, let's breathe....
And use our minds to get up on this gorgeous boat and take a nice sail, say, to Capri... Smell the ocean air, and feel the ripples in the water as we sail under beautiful skies...

ahhhhh.....

Debussy playing, nice glass of wine from Napa Valley, and a plate of goat cheese and fresh, organic (lol)fruits... and french bread and all kinds of wonderful nuts!

Sunglasses, hats, jacket, tees and jeans... and canvas deck shoes.. we are on our way!

Let's stay on this thought a few more minutes, at least till we have lowered our blood pressure, relaxed our systems, released the pressures, and relieved the strain... ahhhh ~

When I get over this ride, I'm going to move forward, like the ships always do, and expect to catch a break here and now, and again, whenever I need it ~ and sending positive thoughts for the both of you also!

Had a medical test come back abnormal. That will lead to some uncomfortable and scary tests.

It's my responsibility to pick up the phone and schedule an appointment. I, for sure, will procrastinate.

I just feel defeated. I can't describe how numb I feel. I hate to call T over something so stupid but I need some words of wisdom, or courage, or something. I guess it's good I see P-doc this week. She'll help me if I tell her what's going on.

Big fat sigh.

It's okay to relax and collect yourself before moving ahead with a scary test appointment, especially after all you have been through.

That has always helped me. Kind of like putting on a talisman, my taking my time to prepare, collecting my trinkets and wearing my special hat and scarf, and my grey leather gloves...

I am intact (my way) before I get in motion, then face the music.

I remember to be receptive and take someone along or at least a notebook to write my thoughts... and any information I need to remember because when we are stressed, we don't hear everything, usually.

Fighting things that must be done comes later, in my world.

First, I must be forewarned. What's causing problems... if it turns out to be nothing, whoo-whoo, that's good to know too.

I haven't had that day yet, but I hope for it whenever my fears pop up.

I hope Orange. It helps. Hope is free. It's what we want to do with it, that makes it so dang beautiful.

So, you asked for something, and I'm no shrink, but I am a survivor, and you are too!

That makes us sisters in this sometimes difficult existence, but survivors nonetheless.

You take your time. I will send positive thoughts your way for the energy you need to hopefully, get the tests over with and receive good news!

That would be a great turn around! I hear turnaround is fair play!
