Hello,

Recently I purchased some Dixie Dew Drops (100mg/1fl. oz). This product line seems to be relatively new to the market. There are a couple different brands, but I think the same company is behind most of the brands. The site is: Home | Dixie Botanicals Hemp Oil Supplements . Because I suffer from an undiagnosed condition by the dr's and feel like I know myself better than anyone else, I decided to buy this product.

There is info on Wikipedia saying this can help with things such as depression, insomnia, schizophrenia, etc...

Here is my take on the product for those who may be interested: So far I have only had my hands on it for about 30 hours. I recieved it in the mail yesterday. The product gave me some nice feelings at first, but today I am not feeling them as strongly. I know it's probably not recommended, but I don't see why I couldn't; so I mixed some oil with tobacco then rolled a cig. I had about 4 or 5 of these infused cigarettes yesterday. This gave me a stronger effect but today I am thinking the right way to take this supplement is by placing 15 drops on the tongue and holding for 60 seconds (like recommended on product). So I am hoping things will be getting better and stay that way. It defiantly was not a miracle cure overnight.

I am going to keep taking this supplement. I like the fact that it has CBD in it and not THC. As I think the high amounts of THC can make my condition run off the tracks.

So, has anyone got any suggestions/experience for this product type? I live in NY where MMJ is currently un-available.

Hemp Oil can be purchased here in California at natural food stores. I'm not sure about Colorado where this company is from. But, keep in mind that if they are mailing it to you, especially out if state, it probably has no MMJ qualities, as using federal mail to ship it would be illegal. CBD is a cannabinoids but while it's true, it counters the effects of THC, it is key to the Indica strain of MMJ use for pain relief and other things. Indica can sometimes cause or worsen depression. So just be aware of that. Maybe someone else that knows more about this can chime in. If it's working, good for you. I hope it continues to work for you.

It's probably losing efficacy, because it's not regulated.

This company, wants a 12 month, program. Are they BBB approved?

I'm just curious, about what would make you MMJ qualified, if it were legal, in your state?

You only mentioned psyche reasons, when you mentioned wiki.

It's not Medical for psyche reasons, at this point, in the process, of legalization.

I know that I take mmj (Sativa) for Tourette's Syndrome and I have a multitude of medical problems that it can be used for. Basically though, I know a lot of people get recommendations from doctors that simply get paid for writing them and in California, your doctor can decide if any medical condition they deem treatable by mmj is a medical necessity. I use Indica for sleep and pain. (Except for headaches). Good luck.

(C) “Debilitating medical condition” shall mean:
Cancer, glaucoma, positive status for human immunodeficiency virus, acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS), hepatitis C, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Crohn's disease, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis and other conditions as determined in writing by a qualifying patient's physician.

They legalized it, in my state, too. I just can't see myself, as refusing Tysabri, and not liking how it the leaves me feeling drained, as walking into my neuro's office, Hey Dr....I know I said, I choose to not take any of the MS meds, but could you please, pretty please prescribe this?

I'd rather not be a card carrying member, to be tracked...

I understand your not wanting records. I never went to my primary care doctor for the rec. as many doctors, whether they approved or not, will not give you a recommendation. Doctors in California cannot prescribe it, they can only write a legal recommendation for you and if you choose, get a legal card (though the card is not really necessary so long as you have the rec.). I'm still working on trying to get enough medical marijuana in me to help with symptoms while not taking too much and end up spending all day in bed or not functioning.
Thanks for this!

Reesecups, thats going to be a hard find. CBD tends to be the compound that assists in a lot of medical conditions yet it is also the compound that makes you really drowsy. What I would suggest is purchasing a product (I live in NYC so I don't know the extent of wonders they sell in the shops in cali) that has great CBD that you can take in small amount throughout the day so you don't get couch locked. That'd be my suggestion.

Actually I think you're onto something. I have a vapor pen that actually contains 35% CBD. I knew CBD is the thing for pain. It didn't occur to me to try it for sleep. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try it tomorrow night.
