Hi all,

I had quite a bit of anxiety which then turned to depression I believe. I've been recovering lately but still have bouts where I feel like I am not good enough, others are better, which then makes my stomach tighten up. I was at a birthday party for my daughter's friend and just felt out of it, nervous, jittery legs, etc. It seems to come and go and can last for a couple hours at a time.

I've been reading some articles and was wondering if there really are any effective remedies that I can take from home. It's mostly the stomach thing that bothers me and didn't know if there was something that could help soothe that.

Thanks!

Hi adampeps. Peppermint tea some people tell me helps settle the stomach and a strong cup can be relaxing and soothing.

Many people here at PC find they can share these feelings and what they are going through with the confidence that people go through similar things and can empathize. So many forums are offered as well as Chatrooms (after you have 5 posts or comments on others posts). Depression chat meets on Thursday night at 9pm EST and Anxiety Friday at 8PM.

Please feel free to private message me or any of the Community Liaisons by left clicking on the name in blue to the left of their post) for questions or just to share.

I have rediscovered essential oils lately and have found them to be helpful. Some I use are invigorating and give me a real boost. Some I use to sooth my extreme anxiety. I use both a vaporizer to fill the room with a scent or apply directly to my skin. Perhaps it is a placebo perhaps it does in fact work. In the end, I do feel better.
Thanks for this!

I take a supplement called Stresscare by Himalaya. It has quite a large following and my friends have noticed a marked improvement in my anxiety, moodiness, energy, and I'm no longer emotionally eating. I take 2 pills once a day instead of twice a day. It's kind of a slow improvement took me about 3 weeks to notice a BIG difference. A month worth (2 pills twice a day) is about $15 on Amazon.

Can I ask where you get this stuff? I see you are in Canada as well but wasn't sure if this could be picked up at any common stores.

Thanks!

I don't think one is allowed to mention or flog companies or retail stores here so I will msg you.

Most natural food stores sell these products. I purchase direct from an online company. There are several reputable firms. Just do some homework.

A warning to look at the labels and make sure it is an Essential Oil and not a Scented Oil.

You may be deterred by the cost but remember you are only using drops at a time and thus they last a goodly long time.

My favourites are lavender and thieves for calming and peppermint and lemon for energizing.
