I let AI write stories about my cats, I'm not allowed to pet yet, but in this story I can (I decided out out "Isaac's" new name, also I spelled Jimi's name differently). The stories make me happy.
Once upon a time, in a small, cozy home at the edge of the woods, there lived a shy grey cat named Jamie. Jamie was small, with soft fur the color of storm clouds, and his bright orange eyes always watched the world from a safe distance. He had four delicate white toes, as if he was always tiptoeing through life, and he often felt scared when his human tried to touch him. Jamie had a best friend, a big white cat named Francis. Francis, with his bold yellow eyes and gentle heart, was always by Jamie’s side. They had been friends for as long as Jamie could remember. Whenever Jamie felt frightened, especially when his human was nearby, he would run and hide behind Francis, knowing that his brave friend would protect him. Francis wasn’t afraid of their human at all. He would nuzzle and curl up in their lap, enjoying the warmth of their touch. But Jamie had never been able to bring himself to let his human near him. He preferred to watch from afar, curling up close to Francis for comfort. One day, as the soft light of the afternoon sun streamed through the window, Jamie was resting in his favorite spot on the couch. Francis was next to him, as usual, peacefully dozing off. The human entered the room, moving quietly, and sat on the floor nearby, respecting Jamie's space. They didn’t try to reach out or touch him; they just sat and softly talked to Francis, who purred contentedly. Jamie watched, curious but cautious. Something about the human’s calm presence felt different that day. Slowly, almost without thinking, Jamie crept closer to the human, inch by inch. Francis opened one eye and gave a soft, encouraging purr as if telling Jamie it was okay. The human held out their hand, not too close, just enough for Jamie to make the choice. For the first time, Jamie didn’t run. His little heart pounded, but he bravely stretched out his nose to sniff the hand. It smelled familiar, like the home he shared with Francis. And then, in a moment of courage, Jamie took another step forward and let the human’s hand brush against his fur. It was gentle, soft, and warm, not scary at all. The touch wasn’t like anything he had expected. It felt... safe. As the human slowly stroked his back, Jamie’s fear began to melt away. He looked over at Francis, who was now fully awake and watching him proudly. Jamie realized that maybe, just maybe, he could trust this human too. From that day on, Jamie still had moments when he was afraid, but each time it became a little easier. He knew that whenever he felt scared, he had Francis, his brave friend, by his side—and now, a human who he could finally let in. And so, Jamie curled up next to Francis, with the human gently petting him, feeling safe and warm for the first time in their company. It was the beginning of a new kind of friendship, one built on patience, trust, and love. Goodnight, Jamie. You are safe now.

That blinky eye thing is supposed to be the cat's way of saying "I love you". You should feel very special.

Jimi took an interest in food that I eat. So I held some. But he just sniffed it, I put it down and he ate it. I pointed a finger at him, he saw I had no food, but first time he came to me just for me. He sniffed my finger. He pawed it gently. We played that game for two days now, giving each other small shy high fives.

Do we have a cat Jimi fan club? Haha.
Today I'm packing what we need, and will go visit my best friend that has moved long away. I think I'll stay a few months. What is good we don't have to be without our dog. The cats seem to settle easily in a new environment, but I have the feeling we will live there part time, as long as my friend can rent the house. Jimi travels well but poor Francis gets carsick. Since I can't take pics I asked AI (I wanna use it before it gets too perfect) to draw Jimi, I expected a disaster but it really looks like him. Where in this big, old house. It's nice and sort of in the countryside. My friend works then come home. I fix food and make fire. The dog were here before so she is fine, she is home wherever the pack is. The cats like it here. Jimi is often out in the evening and night. He is close to me. I could reach to him. So he must feel OK. But I still can't pet. I do nothing in the days which suits me fine since I hate winter. Jimi and Francis play and wash each other and cuddle a lot, so Francis have me and Jimi, Jimi only has Francis but he is not alone.

Francis is a big boi now and is smelling like a male, he tries to beat up Jimi in a macho way, LoL. Guess who is getting neutered? I've been through this with other cats and I expect him to play nicer after his nuts are gone. Jimi shows himself to my friend now, he comes and stares at her with big eyes. With me, when i reach out my finger, he is curious and comes and puts his nose to it. I am so happy, he touches me and is fine.
I hope everyone of you that struggles, treat yourself with the same kindness I have shown my cat, things can be good.

Jimi is out when my friend is here too, and he walks up and sniffs her hand as well. The cats love this house, it's safe and fun because it is big. I feel bad for my friend because when I go home in April, I'll bring my cats with me. Also there are no mice because of Francis. My friend is so thankful I'm here keeping her company or she'd be all alone in this house. She even taken to my cats. They could get their own cat when my friend's GF comes and those two will live together, but I feel they might not be cat people. But it will be empty without any pets. They will not have our dog, they did last time because my friends GF was long term sick and could have both my and her son's dogs. The dog will be better off with me because the dog's separation anxiety and I don't go to work. I hope they take the other dog. This house needs a pet. I hope they go through with getting chicken. Eggs are so good.

Francis got his nuts taken, he was so affected by the sedation yesterday. But today he is OK. Jimi was most kind to him. Jimi walks up to me. To my friend too. But he greets her with a risen tail. He let her pet him on his head. He doesn't do this to me but I'm still happy. He sometimes sleeps at the foot of my bed. He is curious, which he never has been before. I have the coolest cats.

Has Francis recovered from his surgery? Some of mine needed a couple of days to recover completely from the anethesia.

Jimi is now sometimes stroking against my hand if he chooses to come to me. I can't go pet him but if he comes I give him some pets and I have never been allowed to. He purrs and likes the pets. I'm amazed, he's such a brave cat.

Yea guys, thank you so much for your support. Jimi is still easily scared buy he discovered he is super cuddly, he headbonks my hand to make me pet. Greets me with his tail high. Purrs.

So weird he is super cuddly. I tried to pet before but he didn't get it. But now that he initated he understands it is nice to be stroked. He is super cuddly. Every night he comes to me and gets cuddles. He is even cuddlier than Francis. I'm starting to become really attached to my cats. I might have had a small bonding problem since my 6 year old suddenly died a few years ago. Year ago from that I lost my 21 year old cat, that wasn't as traumatic and he was ready to go, but I had him such a long time.

Now that I'm home in my apartment, Francis is calmer. He is super playful. Also he loves to race up and down the stairs in my friend's big house, also chasing Jimi. Also, neutering made Francis nicer, he was playing rough for a bit. Jimi comes to sleep beside me. He trusts me that much now. He could sleep at the foot a while, but this is more vulnerable and he is very brave. Both cats are really cuddly. But when Francis lies on me I can barely breathe. He is about twice Jimi's weight. Jimi is very average size. Poor doggo got urine crystals and has to have special food, feeding time can be chaotic as Francis thinks all food is his. I don't know what I did to deserve these awesome animals.
