Positive things I've done today

Today was a bad binge day

But, when I stop and think, I did do something positive today.

I hope that we can start a new thread

I think that we all, sometimes, need a pat on the back

I walked my dog twice today, for 30 minutes each time.

And it was cold!!! (+9 outside)

Today, the positive thing that I did was to eat healthy foods.
Any day that I can do that, is a positive day

I rarely cook and have been craving soup since the cold weather hit a few days ago. I can never seem to get it so i caved and bought vegetables and am making soup now. Yay me!

I love homemade soup. Real soup, and not that salt/fat stuff in a can

Yum!

I made salmon for dinner, with enough left for tomorrow.
This will help with my Monday "I don't want to cook" thoughts

Graded papers and did some laundry

I took a shower and trimmed my bangs this evening. Showering in the morning is getting too hard. In the evening it's easier.

I find that too. Showering in the morning is just too much effort.
I perfer to shower at night

My positive thing was to avoid the table full of baking that someone
brought in

Good for you, Standup2me! Homemade food is so good it's always tough to resist.

Today i fought off the urge to binge that rose up in me after a few disappointments. Thursday evening seems to be a dangerous time for me.

I went for a walk around a lake that is close to where I live
Then I went home, and threw out the other half of the pie that
I ate yesterday

Today i did four loads of laundry and ate an apple mindfully.

That is a success in my point of view

Got up early so that I could make myself a healthy breakfast and have a little quiet time

Had oatmeal for breakfast

BF always packs me a snack bag for work.
Today, I opened my bag and found a bunch of little chocolate bars
I left them on the lunchroom table

Yay me!!

I had fruit for breakfast

I had a shower
I hate taking showers

Did not walk out on my job today
Very stressful at work right now
I kept myself together
Go me!!!!!

I ate sensibly today.

You go girl!!!

I cooked vegetables and made a salad. Eating vegetables is seeming less strange to me.

Went to Bulk Barn and did not buy any treats

Did errands with bf today
He is a very aggressive driver and it scares me.
Not once did I get out and threaten to walk

Thanks for starting this thread, StandUp2me. It's a good idea. I feel like I'm in a weird limbo during this break. Being able to focus on the few good things that I've done helps keep me from getting depressed about not cleaning the house, fixing things up, etc.

So... took a shower! Finally. I know, pretty bad. But if I'm not going out of the house regularly, I manage to not get around to it. Got to the pharmacy and picked up my meds! Well, that's about it.

Does he know it scares you?

There have been times when I was in such a jumpy and anxious place that just normal, mildly agressive driving would make me cry from being so stressed. I never said anything about it though. I would just sit there, close my eyes and silently cry.

I'd like to imagine that if it happened again today, I would be able to tell my husband how I felt and ask if he could change. (Instead, he just spent a lot of time distressed and thinking it was a little weird that I would just start quietly crying sometimes. He had no idea what the problem was and I was too embaressed to explain.)
