Ok so I don't usually eat breakfast because I don't have enough time in the morning, or I'm just not hungry. I don't eat a real lunch at school because I don't have anyone to sit by in the cafeteria so I will usually bring like a pop tart or granola bars or something to eat in the library. When I get home, I am so hungry that I eat like two or three bowls of cereal and then at dinner time I eat a normal meal, repeat. I know this can't be healthy, but I don't know what to do.

This is a good post. I'm sure a lot of people can relate to your situation. Many people eat alone at their desks where I work for many reasons (they don't have money to eat out with others, they have different lunch schedules, they eat a quick snack then go the gym, etc. ) it doesn't leave too many people to have lunch with unless I ask someone if I can join them. I also bring a couple of snacks and offer to share.

Try to make time in the morning to eat a small breakfast (sugar-free cereal, oatmeal) You can still have a healthy lunch if you decide to eat alone so try to pack a larger healthy lunch and have your snack in the afternoon. This will help to curve your appetite in the evenings. Also drink a large glass of water before you eat.

I hope you learn to eat healthy whether you eat alone or with someone else.

You might not be hungry in the morning because you are eating so much, later the previous day. If you can start on monday with eating breakfast, and have a smaller after-school snack, you might be able to move your eating body clock.
Thanks for this!

Thanks for this post. Sometimes I eat very little during the day just because I'm tempted to cut down on what I'm eating so I can lose weight, but then the same thing happens to me, where I get really, really ravenous and there's no way I can make any healthy decisions about food. The problem is it takes so much planning to eat well and I'm not used to it. Sometimes it starts feeling overwhelming.

I'm sorry about lunch being lonely. I usually bring a book with me when I think I might be eating by myself. I'm really sorry about lunch.

I can't believe I wrote this just a few days ago and then today I skipped breakfast and lunch! It was not pretty. I didn't care what I ate. I wanted food now. I need to get some quick alternatives in case I'm in a rush in the morning. Oh well.
