Just curious if anyone here has tried mindful meditations and training that is aimed specifically towards BED?

I have been interested in mindfulness for awhile now, it helps with my depression and anxieties. It is work and requires focus but I have been reading a number of scholarly articles over the past few days in regards to Mindfulness being used specifically for eating disorders, especially BED.

I am interested in giving it a go and was wondering if anyone else would like to start on that journey too? creating a buddy system if you will to discuss and encourage each other

If so let me know, I have found the below series and I am happy to share other links to meditations and articles if anyone is interested

I am sorry to say, no I haven't tried it. I haven't tried anything. I only noticed the overeating within the last year. Looking back I see the problem has existed since around 1996, but just became really bad this past year. I see my therapist today, I am going to talk to her about - well, that I have this problem. I think we always glossed it over before because there were more immediate issues.

Also, I can't stick to things. The BP, BPD, GAD and overcoming agoraphobia, now with BED - I am just really un - umm. Frick, whatever the word is that means (oh, lol that means...) unrealiable! Ya, that is me. Very inconsistent.

The only thing that has become consistent is over eating, and I hold onto it like a buoy.

Thank you for sharing the article. I will save the link and try it.

Thanks for the reply ❤️ I'm terrible at sticking with things due to my illnesses too.

I've downloaded some meditations so I'll give it a try and see if I can stick with it for a bit. I'm willing to give any natural therapy a go at this stage 😊
