What is your biggest fear...

when it comes to your mentally ill mate?

I almost can't voice my biggest fear

Mine is that he will leave me for good. That all my love, hard work, patience and forgiveness will be for nothing.

He has spent our lifetime grasping for and fighting against traditional family life. The rejection is what I have the hardest time dealing with.

I do understand that.

I'd be more ok with permanent rejection than with my fear, though. My ex-husband left me for good after all of my best efforts raising his son for 6 years. I learned that as traumatic as it was, I survived.

My fear is that he'll give up, and, well, my fear keeps me from leaving him alone in the house when he's having a severe episode. I'm kinda morbid like that

i can't imagine what you're going through but my heart goes out to you......i've always been the one who was "ill" .....it's scary for both sides.........xoxoxo pat

Well, it's me that has the problems. I know I must worry my husband but he is so patient and good to me.
