I'm angry that I worked so hard to get into school again (master's program) and now my anxiety is acting up. I have this underlying anxiety that is making it really hard. I didn't think that being in a co-ed educational environment was going to cause me a problem. To be honest, I didn't even think about the possibility that it might cause problems.

I'm also angry that the people who were supposed to help me did nothing. They didn't protect me, no one did. I just was so angry. Why was I never important enough for anyone to care? I feel so awful. I hate my life.

I'm just feeling worse. I miss my friends (moved for school) and feel so alone. I'm afraid that I'm going to be alone for my whole life.

I had the worst anxiety of my life during my Masters program. When my anxiety got so bad I had to deal with it finally. This was a good thing in the end.

Now I understand why you are upset right now...........

I always got severe anxiety when starting a new college semester. I did not make it to the masters degree program, much to my regret. But I did make it through each semester, and some of the courses I took were masters level courses. So If I made it, you will too, I'll wager. Post here, and you are never alone. billieJ

I'm still feeling angry. It isn't as intense, but the PTSD things are still there and so is the anger. I asked my ethics instructor if the school should have been required to do anything when I was attacked (in a hypothetical situation question) and she said that they would have and she was shocked that they didn't do anything. It has always been really hard for me to acknowledge when I'm angry. Usually I don't even know. Dealing with it when it happens and I notice it is a learning experience so that I don't just push it back down or take it out on myself. Thanks for asking.

I know exactly what you are talking about. When I started working on this stuff as a young person I remember figuring out a week later that something bothered me. I kept working on it and the time kept shortening. It became a few days and then a day, then a few hours. Now it is pretty immediate. Good Work........
