My childhood is a blank slate. I only remember certain things- mostly bad, and it's always been that way. I know it's from abuse from my parents, but it's daily now. I can't remember when my son started crawling or walking. I don't remember what I cooked last week or if I worked out.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to regain my memory (hopefully without seeing a therapist since we don't have the money or the time to go. I don't drive and hubby's mostly sleeping or working so I can't really go anywhere with my kids for therapy) I'm getting ready to register for college so I really need my memory back |

Unfortunately, there are no quick fixes. Therapy is the best option. If the college has a psych department, maybe they can offer some sessions there?
I have 2 childhood memories that have no negative overtones, and they are very young...15 months...the rest are bits and pieces of bad experiences. But I am making progress and healing...just slow and steady...I hope you find what works for you. I did have alot of memory issues when I was in college, I used an herbal suppliment. __________________ ....the axe soon forgets, but the tree remembers forever... (Chinese fortune cookie) |

I was trying to remember stuff, (but I'm missing less then you) but then I kind of remember that it's hidden for a reason and chances are when I do find out it'll be life changing in the bad way. I'm sure my subconscious isn't doing this for kicks.
I really suggest you visit the DD for advice of current memory issues. A lot of members there have experience with this kind of stuff. |
