I am having vivid flashbacks, dreams, what-all about animal murder/torture as a child. I am so tired. I need sleep. It has triggered me so much. I feel like taking extra meds but I need to be awake for the police in a few hours. What can I do to get these images out of my head? Mind games and perverted cruelty. I think when Hubby is back I am going to take a trip to my friend's for a few days and ask her to do a lot of comfort snuggling. This truly stinks. Okay, I can't do it right from where my head is at but can someone re-new a thread on funny animal stories for me?

Wait, I will try. sometimes my goats are so greedy they stick their heads through the fence and get their horns stuck. Usually tget can get out but sometimes I have to grab the horns and turn them.

Tonight my friend let the dogs into my ha ha "newer reliable vehicle" and one went through the cover in the back where it's a atation wagon with a fake ewar dash. I kept calling him and couldn't see him. Had to open the rear door. Silly boy.

I got my son's girlfriend's kitten batting at a japanese mobil from one of our exchange students. I was in the recliner chair so I tossed a book to scare her. She smelled the book, sat on it and proceeded. I threw another book and she thought we had a great came going to finally I just started throwing puppy toys and playing with her. She is so maughty! Also likes to climb curtains.

Let's do the happy animals to keep me away from this place huh? Thanks

I was reading in the living room when I heard this really strange plaintive cry sound. Was it the plumbing, weird neighbors, squeaking car, aliens landing?

I moved fast around the apartment to try to locate the source of the sound, finally narrowed it down to my bed. My cats liked to sleep under the blankets, maybe one was sick in there?

Investigation showed me that it was indeed one of my cats, and she was stuck. She had found a small hole in the sleeping bag stuffing and had snuggled in, only to discover that she could not get back out.

I ran to get scissors and quickly cut her free. She was a long haired calico, rather plump, I was laughing and crying to see her suddenly emerge and puff when she was free.

I had to run out to get more kennel supplies so I was at an ag store and bout a large bag of dog toys, a bone that looks like half a dinasaur, and a bunch of chewies. I dumped them in the shavings and they immediately started to bury them. Then 2 little 10 pounders were fighting over this bone 4 times their size. I laughed cause I can't cut that one up for them.

More happy animals:

My friends have a cat that has become quite the ham, posing for attention. Last time I visited, the cat laid down on the floor between us and moved through her routine of cute poses. On back displaying tummy, roll, show off chin, flip over into another pose, waves paws then curl.......on and on.

I always get distracted by what the cat is doing and comment out loud, admiring the cat and talking to it. While I do that it lays still and manages to look even cuter.

Whenever I momentarily forget to continue to praise the cat, it amps up the cuteness more, stretches, rolls. Which always pulls my attention back and I pick up on the verbal admiration.

With all the cuteness, you would think this cat would love some petting and tummy fluffing. Not the case with this cat, move a hand and it may very well want to pounce and lightly nick it with a claw. Only when the cat is in the mood and everything is just right, will it deign to sit on its human parents and be loved up. But even they have to watch themselves.

I had a bowl of pears and caramel dip, and had to finish it before I could type because my kitten was after it. It's not that I mind sharing - just don't want to encourage him to beg and try to get people's food. I was holding the bowl out away from me with my arm extended all the way and he just crawled out on my arm after it. He's persistant. Yes, he eats fruit. I did take him and give him a piece in the kitchen, but he was back in no time. Now he's after my earrings and necklace. This kittie is the sweetest thing. He climbs onto my lap when I'm at the computer and goes to sleep, which often is contagious and puts me to sleep too.

Speaking of sleep, it's getting to be about that time, isn't it? And I'm done with schoolwork until tomorrow so all I have to do is write to T and then I can actually go to bed for a change! That will be nice.

My son's dachund thought the other dogs were out of their tree as we are having a blizzard and they went out. He looked at the snow and came up to bed and boroughed under the blankets. He's keeping my feet warm.

One of my cats used to bark. She disliked garbage trucks and also metal ladders. Whenever she heard either one being used, she would run to a window, stare at her enemy, puff up a bit and then let out a bark. Woof!

Years ago I adopted a young adult Doberman. She was GORGEOUS - red coat and coloring and petite (for a Doberman). I took her to obedience school and it was obvious from some of the responses to commands (which were advanced responces which the class had not progressed to) that she had been trained before.

So, my former husband and I began entering her in local obedience trials. She performed wonderfully and won several ribbons - one a blue. re: my post in general

Then there was this one day...we went to a large trial held inside a HUGE school gymnasium. Prior most of the trials were outside.

She performed very well UNTIL we got to putting the dog in sit position, handler (me) turning my back and walking to the other side of the ring, and giving the come command. She came alright - right by me and to my husband sitting on the front row bleachers. re: my post in general

I filled the dogs' new kennel with lots of toys and chewies. One of them was obviously smart enough to bring in a chewey. The others are standing there on my lap whining cause they don't have a chewy. It's -20 with the wind chill and this good mommy goes outside in her long underwear and turtleneck and gets chewies, brings them in and nukes them for 30 seconds till they are nice and soft and gives them to the spoiled little children. Yesterday I was out in a shirt. Today it is soooo cold and windy.

hey good idea about nuking the chewies. My dogs(shitz tu and bichon frieze/shitz tsu) teeth are so small and some the bones are huge. Anyway when i walk the shitz alwys trys to dominate and go first , t then the bichon then Me .After my bf and i got together 3 years ago i noticed the shitz would always growl at him and no way could he lead if the shitz could help it. So the new order was the shitz tsu, the bichon, Charlie (we joke that he is the third puppy) and then me. I then overheard Charlie lecturing the dogs one day. I'm the alpha dog around here. So far the shitz tsu is winning.

The animals like to try to call the shots at my house too. We have a big black labrador who thinks he is a lap dog (well, at least as much of him as will fit on a lap). He loves everybody and expects everyone to love him too. My little border collie/poodle/eskimo cross likes to play catch, which means she is the ball and you catch her when she bounces.

Spring is here, even though the West Wind was blowing snow and tumbleweeds all over the place outside. We have a lamb. She's a little brown and white spotted Churro. I don't have pictures posted yet, but will get her up on my website when I get home.

Here's a picture (as an attachment). Or you can look at my blog and see the other pictures there too. There's one of my daughter and the llama/guanaco.
