I'm sorry you are feeling sad. Did you say "2008" choir? Well,who knows what will happen in 2008? Things may be very different then.

Yeah. No. I can't even do local events. I just thought that, well, once I was an adult, I would get to make choices? The injury took away my choices. My age-group acquaintances are making choices for themselves... travel, play, activity, you name it! I don't get to. I can't do...if not for mental issues, then the physical. I hate this life I have.

Mmmmmmmmmmm...
Yes there are lots of things I can't do. Just going out somedays is impossible. And if I thought about all the things I can't do, that would depress me even more. I guess we have to hang on to the positive. Change the "I can't do" to... "may be I could try" I also hang on to my T.I've made progress, may be things will carry on getting better over time. We have to have HOPE!

Just an after thought... My T says that our personalities are made up of many parts. He has taught me to use my ADULT-part to guide the CHILD-part of myself. ADULT and CHILD (parts) hold hands together so that I CAN DO... (Adult-part is the rational, learning, thinking part of ourselves) (Child-part is the feeling, emotional part of ourselves) I don't know what you think of that! Tell me to get lost if you like.

You hate your life? My heart goes out to you dear lady, perhaps you really mean, you hate what the injuries have done to your life, I can understand that, but PLEASE DON'T let that make you hate yourself, you are terrific person.
You share your wisdom,compassion, and humour with so many, which rather you know it or not it is those very things that have helped people make some positive changes in their lives. Helping others is such a great gift, try to look at the things you can do and you do do, helping others so much. Please do not see this reply as any attempt to try to minimize your pain and suffering, I'd never do that to you or anyone, look at this reply of being a form of "thank you" and to tell you are are greatly admired. sky hon I so understand how you are feeling! I am so tired of not being able to do the things I use to do. but I don't have my life..like someone else said..I hate what the injury did to me. it took my life away from me. I am with ya.
