I realised something while reading in the forums here... for yrs I thought of myself as having PTSD and related symptoms....but from reading the posts I learned a few things. I don't only suffer from ptsd.... I thought everything was related... but from what I have seen, technically, I have ptsd, severe depression and anxiety issues, eating disorder, and I can add recently alcoholic! WOW.... things are a lot more complicated than I thought! I have been so focused on my ptsd and trying to be normal... I didn"t even concider everything else as serious problems.... how can I be soooo messed up and live normally! I know I have a tight bubble and I'm thinking maybe I have been giving myself the illusion of being "normal" by staying in my tight bubble.... I haven"t felt this overwhelmed and confused in a really loooong time!I think I have been in denial about A LOT of things.... it really isn't funny getting a reality check like this! OUCH!!!!

Sorry your feeling overwhelmed ((((((((patricia)))))))
Sometimes with PTSD comes alot of not so healthy behaviors. For me it is SI. As bad as it may feel right now I think you have taken a big step forward in self discovery.

(((patricia)))) Think about this, you have "been" or rather suffering..from all that all this time... now that you are separating them out doesn't change who you are at all! You are still the person living and pushing IRL overwhelmed!!!

I'm not sure why you feel the need to see them separately, though. IMO they can all fall under the dx of PTSD.... symptomology.

Maybe tackling them individually will give you some relief, IDK. Good wishes.

(((((((((((((( patricia )))))))))))))) overwhelmed!!!

Overwhelmed! Definately the right word for it!

Trauma is very difficult to deal with. And IMO it takes time to heal.

Good wishes.

Hmmmm... from reading the support and advice I am thinking maybe I don't have to separate everything completely..... overwhelmed!!!
There is a lot of problems that I developed after my trauma and getting ptsd.... I wasn't diagnosed properly and didn't receive treatment for a few yrs.... multiple traumas.... still no help..... so today my mind feels clearer than yesterday and I am thinking most of it is related to the ptsd.... so if I still focus on that it won't feel so overwhelming.... hmmmm.... overwhelmed!!!
Thank you for the support and advice... food for thought!
