on the community boards that label can mean the person is no longer registered or it can mean the person unregistered and later rejoined under a different name because they could not access their old account because of computer problems and so on.

In the whos on line area anon are people who are reading but logged in or members who have logged in but have their profile set so their names do not appear as logged in.

The posts created labled anonymous are posts that were created by a member whose account was deleted.

The posts you are talking about were posted bya member a long time ago. She had her account deleted and took a break and then rejoined.

Only a registered member can post, but if a members account is deleted their posts stay here but instead of the members name it reads "Anonymous".

Are you referring to the recent post that was brought back up about taking actions for being triggered?

It was created by a member who then deleted their account for personal reasons. When that happens, the user name changes from say "Jane Doe" to "anonymous" There are a few accounts like that around here.

I think there's a 3-month limit on posts being revived. If they haven't had any new posts within that time, the thread becomes locked.

people can keep replying to posts even if the person is nop longer a member as long as the thread has not been deleted. for example if I left the site now and my thread called resourses was not deleted, after I am gone people can still use and reply to that thread. A person can be gone for years and still their thread can be replied to unless a moderator or administrator deletes the thread at the members request or because of breaking posting rules its here for life regardless of how long the member stays or is gone.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
