Brook, how sweet. I hope you have a wonderful day to.

I hope everyone who has posted here has a blessed day. Triggers are hard but we all have each other. Thank you each and every one of you for sharing. You are all brave to share part of something that is so painful.

hmm, this is interesting. While I generally know my triggers, this recent move has brought back more...

-being touched by a stranger anywhere but my arms.
-yelling or anger
-disappointing someone I respect or care about (or thinking I disappointed them)
-feeling like I am bothering someone/having to ask for something, even if I need it
-anything about my dad
-aggression towards others
-the thought of losing any of my animals
-sexual contact with anyone other than my wife (tho it was triggering the first few times with her too)
-domestic violence (I worked briefly as a DV counselor... it became to much)
-being back in my home state and seeing the places and people that were around when my trauma happened
-using public restrooms, especially for #2 (won't happen unless it's a major emergency that can't wait for me to get home)
-talking about my trauma, especially to a male therapist or doctor
-seeing a male doctor for anything
-feeling trapped in a room with someone I do not trust
-feeling trapped in a large crowd (couldn't go to crowded bars or clubs in college unless I had a clear path to the door at all times)

that's not a full list, but... it's good for now...
