I have PTSD, and a lot of posts here don't use the proper format to protect people from triggers. I've had 2 here today.

I've been losing people left and right lately. I'm apparently too much to deal with, so I wanted to use this as a support until things stabilize. But I find myself wanting to run away from this because it's causing me more stress than I already have. I have nowhere to run to, though... So...I'm at a loss. What I can do to better avoid triggers on here?

you are already doing it... by not coming to this board when you feel the posts are triggering you. thats the best thing a person can do when online to protect their self online.

There are times when I feel mentally drained and I know PTSD is really high right now. I also have Dissociative Identity Disorder, sometimes my parts will want to take control and get on sites anyway. Most times I can only read topics without responding then sometimes reading hurts lol. I take a few days off and get into watching movies more. I'm not sure what to say I would think that getting on here you got to keep an open mind that you can encounter anything because you still gotta read titles. If your that sensitive then I think you should take time to close the computer and reset yourself.

I live a life where I can't reset. I'm surrounded by negativity and instability. I work full time. 40 or more hours so I can keep myself financial above water. I handle all the household affairs. I work every weekday. I rely on buses completely. Weekend buses run 50 to 60 minutes apart, and not much is available for me to use on weekends. I can't take time off without consequences. I live with spastic people, who throw a fit over anything minor. Meanwhile, my depression has spiked so high that I barely function. I don't eat and barely sleep anymore.

Take time for you attend therapy address the problem at work and also on site you mentioned in the initial post. I'm disabled from my impairments so I know if you don't you could be looking at a life like that. A therapist can show you how to make the necessary adjustments if it is feasible for you and your situation.
