Hi,
I'm new here and am really struggling at the moment. ![]() I have recently started with a new therapist which has made the PTSD symptoms sky rocket. I wasn't expecting to be discussing the reasons for the PTSD yet so it caught me off guard, which has made the anxiety so much worse. I haven't been this nauseous with the Anxiety for a long while. |

I'm sorry you're distressed!
Share this with your T. The key to doing good work is to do it at the right place. Let him or her know about the symptoms you are ha I so the two of you can decide how fast is too fast and how much is too much. You can also problem solve ways to help you deal with the anxiety. In my opinion, the most important thing to learn early in T for PTSD is how put on the brakes. |

Thanks for replying.
I did email her on Thursday to let her know I was really struggling with Anxiety. She didn't get back to me, but I suspect she is busy. I think it may have been because I wasn't expecting it. She is new(ish) and we have been talking a lot about my role as my daughters carer and my relationship with my mum, but not in detail. So when the other stuff came up I panicked. I was caught off guard, went 'blank', unable to talk, and felt like I was going to break apart. I'm better today than I was- I've managed to stuff it back in a little, but now I keep getting flashbacks which is sucking the life out of me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
