Well I have been really having a hard time with anxiety ever since I was assaulted in May. I have been having to just completely rock myself or move my legs all of the time. It is just getting so bad that I do it almost all of the time. Not only have I been doing the moving with the anxiety but also there are some obsessive things and complusive behaviors getting worse again. But that is not my main issue. My big issue is that my blood pressure is so high anymore that it's got pretty much every doctor concerned. I am now put on water pills thinking that will lower my blood pressure, which it hasn't, then my primary lowered my anti-depressant thinking it had to do with my higher blood pressure. But my psych doc she put me on something because she said that she believes I am like this because I have adrenaline running through me all of the time. So I am always in fight or flight mode. My blood pressure has been about 193/109 lately. I know that is pretty bad, but I guess I am hoping that it will get better. I will continue with the deep breathing and everything, but I am just very very scared and anxious, ALL of the time.Any suggestions?

I'm so sorry you are struggling Jennifer. Stress and anxiety can sure do a number on the body. How come they did not put you on blood pressure medicine? Please take care of yourself.

Have to looked into any light therapy? If you're in or around Denver by chance I know a guy who does amazing work, but otherwise you might want to give a look see to a kind of therapy called Syntonics. It's not difficult to handle emotionally like EMDR, and it can greatly help peoples' nervous systems just calm down and stop freaking out all the time. I'd highly recommend it for what you're experiencing.
