Why are flashbacks necessary? I don't get it, I don't get why they even exist. Why they have to be. I don't want them, I don't need them, I hate them. They ruin everything. They are interfering with my life and well now I am having a hard time being with my boyfriend because of them. I had a new one and well it was not good. Flashbacks are not good, are they?

Flashbacks ARE hard, but they are also memories. I think the big difference is how real and painful they are. I don't know why we have them. It's possible NOT to let them control your life - it just takes a lot of practice and T-I-M-E. It sucks, I know. Do you have someone you can talk to, like a therapist? They might be able to help you understand things a bit more. Hang in there - you're not alone.

I did pretty much talk to my tharapist about all of this but it's still pretty difficult to me. I never really have had a flashback like this one before. There were actually emotions encased with it. It was pretty difficult, but still is. I don't know, I really am just confused and everything.
Thanks for responding and it is good to know that I am not alone in all of this. Jennifer |
