My T first thought that I had an adjustment disorder but after a short time came to realize it was more than that, she has now diagnosed with with complex PTSD.

When we were first going over some of the criteria, I was kind of upset because I knew where it was going. I remember telling her great now I am crazy, just great.

My question is, is PTSD something that stays with you forever, will this always be a part of me, or do you adventually grow out of it, or should I say, learn your way out of it.

It can't be cured, per se, but it can be brought to manageable levels so that it is not a daily, life-interrupting issue. It is different for everyone depending on your symptoms and their severity.

It is hard work in T, but it is worth it to process what happened and come to some kind of resolution with it.

I think complex PTSD is a term used to describe the effects of long-lasting trauma, typically in childhood. Yes, you can learn your way out of it. That is my experience, anyway.
