so at work today a guy came through my line and he was hitting on me and he was really forceful and reminded me alot of the guy who attacked me and i really wanted him away from me. i work at foodlion and its really big that we dont scan these cards under our registers that we are supposed to find a manager to scan one and that takes like 15 minutes. i didnt want that guy around me that long so i scanned one underneath the register and my supervisor saw it on camera and called me into the office and if i get caught again i will get wrote up and possibly susspended but what was i supposed to say? that guy looked like my rapist and i wanted him away from me? umm. i think not. what should i do?

im sorry that happened - if you dont want to talk to your boss about this then maybe if it happens again you can keep telling yourself that its not him over and over - and that you are ok - until the spvsr comes - I dont know what else to suggest..... I hope things get better for you P7

can you speak to your boss. Be honest tell them what happened?
its hard when you get triggered i know sending caring thoughts muffy |

honestly i would tell your supervisor ...especially if the guy was being a jerk. tell him/her that you have ptsd due to rape and that this guy was making you very uncomfortable.
tell them this was a first for you and you didn';t know what else to do to be safe at that instant. do they have any suggestions. i was in a similar situation at my workplace...and once i mentiuoned it my supervior backed off from giving me a ration of crap. good luck. it's not a situation anyone should have to be in. |

But at least talk to someone you trust about this at work.. because you don't want to loss your job.. Not for this person that took your life...then he wins again... take control of this and say NO.. thank you guys for all of the advice. i am currently looking for a new job because alot of people have been getting fired from my work for sexual harrassment and i really dont want to be a part of it. if it comes down to it i will talk to my boss because i do trust him im just afraid he will see me differently or things might get akward and i deff dont want any pity but if i need to i will. thank yall.
