I got 96. The summary said I was on an even keel, but in the text I have moderate to severe depression, the latter being correct. There are too many relationship questions. I don't have relationships so what can I say to the questions except my mood isn't affecting them. Apart from that I liked the summary at the end with the different sections, it came out about right.

I would like to think that the score is adjusted to point to one's feelings of depression not being caused by environmental/external factors. In other words, it's natural to be down if you've recently had relationship problems and that may require only some time whereas if one is depressed without an external cause this indicates a condition which might benefit more from treatment.

Remember too that your overall "sanity" is a combination of many factors. While depression may be a big factor in your life right now, it doesn't necessarily have to define who you are. 96 is a score on the higher side and we're still tweaking the scoring in that range to accurately reflect one's overall mental health.
We received a lot of feedback about the poorly worded choices available for relationship questions (e.g., not taking into account people who are not in a relationship). Those answers now include a "Not in a relationship" answer to address those questions. Thanks, DocJohn

DocJohn, I'm taking the "new"/revised test now and find there "should" be a difference between "not at all" when you're in a relationship and answering that question and "not in a relationship"? (Question 4, for example?) If I'm in a relationship (which I am) and not experiencing a problem, that's different surely from not being in a relationship?
