I can't decide whether to stop taking my prozac or not. I really think that it has helped with my pmdd, but I think that it has flushed my creativity down the toilet. Off of it I'll (potentially) ruin my relationship, on it I feel like a drone. Is there anyway to stop my consistent confusion?

Yes, the best advice, is to take this up with the prescribing physician, it is not a good idea to just stop a med., unless your doc is involved.
Meanwhile, please take care I'll try to make it brief

Sincerely,

DE

Yes, DE is right. Always consult your physician. Maybe a med change is in order.

if you can see a psychiatrist, do it....in my experience i have found that they know much, much more about psychiatric meds than, say an internist or family doc.......but do not stop a AD med without help from your doctor.

Often people really don't know how much a medicine is helping them until they stop it. Then it can be 2-4 weeks before they feel better once they re-start it.

Yeah, I've thought about that. It's like when you're depressed you can't remember what it feels like to be happy, and when you're happy you want to get off your meds

i've become really anti-med of late, i think my brain works better when i don't take them (ADs - celexa). i can think better/more creatively at work.

if i have a bad day i can always get through work cos it keeps me occupied (i love my job) and then i can just go home and sleep or sleep during the weekend, that always gets me over it.

i'd rather have my brain work than be fake happy and not able to think laterally/creatively.
