Took ten miligrams before bed, had to get ready it kicked in i felt stupid, hard to talk hard to move....finially treid to go to bed nothing..........i dont like it at all...it really makes me feel intoxicated...i dont wnat to be on drugs i wanna go to sleep

You need to take it no more than 15 minutes before you're going to lay down. There's a high fall risk with it because of the incoordination it causes. You should fall right asleep if you take it the way it's instructed. I just finished a two-week course of 5 mg.

Ambien does work very quickly. Basically you have to take it when you are ready to go to sleep. There are other meds to help you sleep if you want to try them. One that comes to mind is Lunesta. You may ask your doc about that one. Maybe get some trial tablets before you fill a prescrition.

okay...still not working....I dont like it....hmmm...i was on klonpin for sleep once, err...self prescribed, it was the only thing that worked. Would a dr prescribe it for me if i told him it worked in the past and leave out the notion that I was the one who prescribed myself it and i hold no doctorate degree?
