I started taking Celexa one week ago. The first day, I was drowsy and sleepy. After four days, I could read faster and my motor skills speeded up too. One of the drawbacks is that my diet is restricted to white rice, baked potatoes, beef, and chicken ( not because the college nurse said so, but because of the gastrointestinal effects). And the other problem is that when my stomach gets sick, I feel fatigued and don't get much reading at all which is making me very scared and nervous. I am also taking Singulair which also has gastrointestinal side effects. I am anemic and I've had some acid reflux in the past. I told this to the nurse. Why didn't she give me anymore recommedations?

When I took Celexa a few years ago, I had real trouble with sexual side effects. Doc said that would improve in 2 to 3 months, so maybe you are going to see some improvement in that area soon. I ended up switching, so never found out if that was the case for me with Celexa. Hope it improves for you.
