Welcome to psych central, Hollie. I don't know for what you are taking cymbalta... if it's for anxiety, then surely you might consider something else? I had trouble with cymbalta (for pain etc I think it was an MS type drug first?) What does your MD say about this side effect? Doesn't sound too good to me. TC

Hi, Hollie! CYMBALTA HELP!

I've never used Cymbalta, but from just the bit of research I did it looks like the med can be used as an antidepressant or to control nerve pains in diabetics. If the side effects have gone on so long...totally agree with Sky to call your doctor.

I take Cymbalta. I never had that side effect. I agree with the other posters that you should call your doctor.

Most of the SRIs will cause some GI upset at first, but four months in it should have resolved. Do talk to your doctor.

I know that I had a bit of a routine going when I was on it: shortly after breakfast each day, I was in the bathroom for my daily evacuation. (I'm trying to put it gently.) That lasted pretty much all the time I was on it, until I got down to 20mg.

Good luck.
