Over these past couple of weeks I've noticed that I make a lot of mistakes in my posts, not spelling mistakes...strange mistakes where I would substitute an entirely different word in place of another.
Just today I wrote "why" instead of "by". I've written "where" instead of were. You know, stuff like "take" instead of "talk" Could this be a side effect of one of the drugs I'm taking? I take 50 mg Celexa (I don't think it's this one b/c I've taken it for a long time and this word thing is new), 150 mg Wellbutrin, and 0.75 mg Risperdal.

I do the exact same thing.... have been doing this for about a year or so now - I think it is due to stress, depression and all the worries that seem to consume our wounded mind on a daily basis.

I do the same thigna nd am not on medication. mine comes from -
1. trying to type as fast as I am thinking of the reply/post and 2nd I have a learning disorder called Dyslexia where I see things differently like right is left and left is right, the word saw is was, did is bib, q is p and p is q. I love the letter s because big or small left or right upside down or right side up it looks the same not like a different letter. it gets even more comiclal because sometimes the longer words like "sometimes" comes out looking like ssmmeot whatever basically letters out of order. In order to learn how type I cant be looking at the key board, I have to do it from memory of which finger goes where from typing class. I have had special classes for my dislexia but when I am tired my eye brain connection just isnt all there so to speak. Edit - Point taken look at the first sentence. I wont edit it this time. Now you see why most if not all my posts say - editted by - on the bottoms. lol ![]() ![]() |

When Wellbutrin was added to my other meds it took me a hellish few weeks before the side effects subsided. Some of those made me feel like a stroke victim: I actually talked backwards and would pause for what seemed forever to remember what something simple was called; I would preview a post and couldn't figure why I had written certain words; when I went shopping, I would stare at my cash, trying to remember which denomination was which; I had trouble with my balance, causing me to concentrate a lot when I walked. I was miserable and was sure I was over-medicated. My pdoc encourage me to ride out the side effects and now, 2 months later...they're gone!!!
I also have a friend who, when I discussed this with her said "Welcome to how a Dyslexic live." It was a nightmare, but I'm coming out of the darkness now and those awful side effects are gone!!!
