I'm feeling way sedated on my meds. 10mg Lexapro for the depression/ anxiety and then 10mg of Elavil for pain. I'm on other meds as well, but they aren't suppose to be sedative like this two are. I'm in an exercise program now twice a week and sleep around 10 -12 hours each night. Yeah I know that's a lot of sleep. But I still can hardly stay awake during the day. My meds are working well. But since the addition of the Elavil it's making me more sedated. Does anyone have any tricks to help from feeling so sedated?

Hi. Do you think you might be able to go down to 5mg. of Elavil at night? Are you taking any antihistamines?

Hi dottie, When I first started the Elavil it was 10mg twice a day. That did well controlling my pain, but I was unsafe to drive and work. So he's had me down to 10mg at night now. It works fairly well with the pain, but doesn't last all day. Thought about doing 5mg twice a day and seeing if that helped any. Just worried it wouldn't take care of the pain as well. And no antihistamines, on enough meds. Feeling way sedated
