I'm on 400 mgs. of Lamictal and it bombs me. I walking around like a living zombie and finally have to hit the sack. Lamictal Zombie Not fun but I don't have many options since I get manic on AD's.

It never has made me tired, but I'm on 200mgs per day so maybe that is reason for it. It's really a good med.,maybe it is just a time of adjustment or a need in dosage change?
If you haven't yet spoke to the prescribing physician, maybe you can give him or her a call, about this.
Lots of luck,
DE

I was okay on 300 mgs. but I was having some difficulties with more anxiety/depression. She raised it because she didn't have any other options. I will keep trying it and have to see.....

Interesting you mention anxiety, when my doc and I tried going up just 25mg more, I developed anxiety and slight edginess. I guess 200mgs for me is my target therapeutic dosage. I have been given Ativan, "when needed" and/or Klonopin, "when needed". Fortunately I haven't had to use those for awhile.
I truly wish you luck with this. Another thing I like about the Lamictal vs Depakote, it doesn't cause weight gain.
Take care,
DE

Thank you. No weight gain for me either. I am also on Clonazipam, as needed. I don't take it very ofter because that also bombs me out.

I'd personally be careful taking this drug. It wiped me out as well and it gave me The Rash. It was awful. Though it is a good drug for some, it wasn't for me. Just be cautious hun.

sniffles, did you have the actual life-threatening rash or "a rash?" I'm on 100 mg Lamictal and always keeping watch. (Which freaked me recently when I began breaking out badly...but it turned out to be shingles.)

EDIT: sniffles, I saw your other post which answered my question. So sorry you went through that! Lamictal Zombie
