What are people's experiences mixing the two?

Personally, I feel like I get intensely dizzy, jittery and unfocused if I have too much caffiene. It's annoying because the meds might also make you tired, which caffiene could offset.

I thought it was just me. Not so much jittery though. I get dizzy easier with alot of caffeine in the mix. I feel kind of off and sick-ish. Hard to explain, but it made me lose the energy drinks and really cut back on the coffee. I agree the caffeine used to help my energy levels and probably still could except with AD it makes me feel worse.

My med, Luvox, interacts bad with caffeine which is a known issue. It makes the caffeine four times as potent. Don't know about other AD's.

For me, wellbutrin and caffiene gives me the same things.

Caffeine makes me a little dizzy and it makes me have loud ringing in my ears. I am not sure if the antidepressant makes the caffeine have a stronger effect than if I just had caffeine alone... I guess if it makes you feel sick, best to avoid it.

It depends on the antidepressant. Personally I've found ziprasidone to enhance caffeine's effects the most, giving you the most lift in mood, but all antidepressants subtly effect caffeine to a small degree I've found. Some worse, others better.

Caffeine always bothers regardless of what or if I'm taking. It tends to make me tired and half the time it will make my face all tingly, like there's cotton stuck my face.

I take a low dose of Prozac, a tiny, tiny dose of Amitriptilyne, drink one-two coffees a day and a lot of tea, eat some dark chocolate daily
and feel just fine.

I have no problem mixing an antidepressant and caffeine......but I also take xanax and too much caffeine contradicts the xanax. I only have caffeine in the morning usually, and mix it with decaf. If you take xanax you certainly don't want to add much caffeine to it or you might as well not be taking the xanax!

I've never had a problem mixing the two. Seroquel has made me more sensitive to caffeine though.
