I have suffered from ADD symptoms for a long time and was having really huge problems with concentration, focussing and was very forgetful - to the point of constantly looking for things like my keys. However, depression is also something I have suffered from for a long time, so that was what prompted me to see a Dr. She prescribed Cipralex (SSRI) for my depression and my ADD symptoms disappeared. Has anyone had this experience? Is there a link? Was it ADD or depression?

Problems with concentration is a well known symptom of DEPRESSION.... but if you are still concerned check with your doctor or your local pharmacy for the medicines side effects.

I would say the depression, those symptoms go hand in hand, mistaken for ADD.
I have ADD, and AD's never addressed that, the forgetfulness was from depression and possible some meds that they tried. ADD med is different than the SSRI's (AD's) you mentioned, and I'm quite sure the neurotransmitters affected by the SSRI's are not the ones that ADD meds (many stimulants) work on. I'm glad the meds have helped. Take care now, DE
