I take Trazodone,Seroquel,Effexor,Neurontin for bipolar 2,personality diorder and panic diorder. I took myself off the Seroquel because it was making me so sleepy during the day i couldn't function, now I'm manic and have so much energy it's wonderful. Should I keep taking my Seroquel or just stay off it?

You should always talk to your doctor about changing your meds. He prescribed them for a reason. If one doesn't work, he'll have something else for you to use...please call him\her.

I agree about seeing your doc before changing medication. Also, I found out the hard way that letting yourself stay manic (I was since April & didn't tell my doc cuz it felt so good) can lead to dangerous behavior. Ended up in the ER with an overdose. Always tell doc about change in symptoms & discuss side effects of medications. He/she should be working with you to counteract the side effects. I take 2 medications to combat the excessive daytime sleepiness I had (Concerta & Provigal). They are working well.--Suzy
