Silly question I guess...but what do Brain Zaps feel like?
Is it when you get a strange tingling in a part of your head/brain and if feels like that piece fell asleep? ie like when your foot falls asleep?
Or does if feel like you've been struck by lightening or something?

you hear it, randomly. Quite annoying.

I had them for 2 weeks coming off paxil.

Not everybody gets them.

Just came off prozac and had no symptoms.
Thanks for this!

It feels (and sort of sounds) like when you are watching race cars zoom by if that makes any sense. I can feel the vibration and that sensation of the vibration moving quickly through my brain (sometimes throughout my body).
Thanks for this!

Sounds like this time you did pretty good. How bad were the 2 weeks you had them?

Does it also throw you off balance?
I'm trying to figure out if I had them earlier. Know it sounds strange but I really don't have anything to compare it with. My old PDoc I could describe things to and he would generally know...but he's not practicing anymore My current PDoc seems to think by asking a question to all my questions will give me a solution

omg, someone else who experiences them as noise. For me, they feel like screaming. It's like chattering without any real noise. I have gotten pulses of pain and waves of dizziness too.

I had them too, also heard loud explosions....search 'exploding head syndrome'. Some cases also mention the electric zaps. Its loud, tingly and yes it used to throw me off balance. I had 5 zaps in a row one time and it nearly took me off my feet. Luckily don't have them anymore.

Mine were like electrical zaps in my brain, I'd have to stop, close my eyes, and hold my head till it passed.

Yeah mine were like electrical zaps in my brain, my eyes spaz out and I have to close them. I feel a vibration through my body and a slight headache. I always get them if I go a few days without the AD.

For me, it felt like sticking a finger in a light socket, except that the zaps started in my brain. Totally disruptive. It also sounded like a bug-zapper. I could almost smell the fried flies, lol.
