Carry on thread . 15MG LEXAPRO up to 20mg today plus intake of valium and extra lorazapam kill or cure tactics , done it many times sometimes it works sometimes and others it don't . Close down my brain pattern,s for a short time to see if retimes its self while hoping the 20mg Lexapro does its magic. Take my damaged brain out of action and hope it gets a full service and oil change . Its a gamble but 50-50 hopefully . If it don't work tomorrow is another day there is no plan B .

It ain't a computer, you can't just reboot it. Unless maybe you flatlined and came back.

Dang it! If it was a computer I would better know how to troubleshoot. Especially if I was running Windows OS.

Step 1.) reboot, does that fix the problem? Great! Good to go!
Step 2.) See step one!

I think you can, overload anything and it don't work right, I have flat lined many years ago , and if your looking for god forget it, there is only cold and dark at the end of the tunnel. I look on the BRAIN has 2 rivers running the same speed in your brain side by side , if 1 slows down you get depressed ,if 1 speeds up you get manic. If they run 1 fast I slow your rapid cycle .Its all about getting the 2 river to run together same speed. What about that then simple but true.

The trouble is I have never found a good shrink like a poster thinks everyone does , they have all been not the slightest help in my illness and that is the truth . They got me hooked on Ativan 35 years ago , and tried to kill me in detox to cover there mistake. They let me now pick my own meds that way its not there fault . I try every way I can to keep control of myself ,not them they haven't a clue , I do it for my family. I self helped on booze because the hospital has no answers , now I cannot do that because of the damage it caused. Life is how you live it I don't live hiding away I have just come back from a meal out with my wife kids and grandkids , I didn't feel great but I don't let them know why spoil there night.

Absolutely true - not every p-doc is a compassionate, knowledgeable saint. Most of the time they want to prescribe the trending medication and if that doesn't work the attitude is "tough luck". I have begged my p-doc to help me find a better med cocktail & all he does is switch around the meds I'm already on that aren't really working as well as some other meds might work. Eventually, I have no choice but to rearrange my meds myself to make it through life, work, etc. I'm right there with you, sewerrats.

As for "rebooting" - there's something to it. ECT is an example of rebooting the brain.
