We can agree to disagree on this, which I am fine with. We are each entitled to our own opinion and I know you have a lot of experience.
Since I was off it for 5 days and was fine, I don't think I should have an issue.
But again, we can peacefully disagree and it's all good.

4 mgs.
My pdoc said if I did not take it for 5 days and felt no withdrawal symptoms (because I would have known by then), then I should have no withdrawal symptoms in the future if I taper off should I decide to stop taking it.

Let me just put you right on clonazepam , its 1 of the strongest benzos out. I take 4 mg ativan an cloz is twice has strong, so in theory your taking the same has 8mg of Ativan, the very dose I spent six months locked away in my room detoxing in pain. No ENGLISH gp would script 4mg cloz a day, I am on max Ativan given a day by GP surgery, you are on twice there permmited script . I only get 4 mg a day because I carnt come off after 35 years it part of my body structure now. Its a mistory to me how you felt no dtox after 5 days off 4mg as a regular dose, 3 days you may still have the drug in you, but 2 weeks at 4mg cold turkey you will be in a hell of a lot of trouble believe me. You either stick with the 4mg for life or go through a lenthy detox

I used to take 8 mg of Ativan and stopped cold turkey. No other benzo or med to help me with stopping it. No side effects when I stopped. Nothing. I was just fine.
This is my psychiatrist giving me the Klonopin and there is no law saying he can't prescribe my dose. I am not worried about it.
Do you not recall we have had this exact same conversation already once before?
I didn't feel anything w/out Klonopin for 5 days because we don't all react the same way to meds. It has to do with how fast our bodies process meds, specifically, our kidneys I believe...both my father and I process medication very quickly. I assume that is why my tolerance is so high and why I don't have withdrawals or addictions from/to meds.
Thanks for your concern, but I'll be fine.
I do wish you well.

Nicks says the last time she used cocaine on stage was during a concert at Red Rocks in 1986. It was a turning point for her. Afterwards, she went straight to the Betty Ford Clinic. But in attempting to help herself, she encountered a problem far worse than her cocaine problem - a new addiction to prescription drugs. Fresh out a rehab, a psychiatrist put Stevie on a tranquilizer called Klonopin. Generally prescribed for seizures and panic attacks, experts say it should not be taken for more than nine weeks. Stevie says she took it for eight years, learning way too late that Klonopin is highly addictive and can have side effects like depression and weight gain. "My woman's vanity could not deal with that at all. After being a rock 'n' roll sex symbol for all that time, and then all of a sudden to be 'little fat girl' was just so unacceptable to me. I could see the disappointment in people's faces when they'd see me walk in." It took 47 days for the singer to detox from the prescription drug, "...and it was horrible," she says. "My hair turned gray. My skin molted. I couldn't sleep, I was in so much pain. Legs aching, muscle cramps... The rock star in me wanted to get in a limousine and go to Cedar's Sinai and say, 'Give me some Demerol because I am in pain.' And the other side of me said, 'You will fight out this 47 days.'" **************** She took 4mg a day for 8 years , had to go to rehab to get off she said worse than coke. I took Ativan 12mg that's same has 6mg klonopin a day detoxed cold same has 4mg klonopin and was locked it my music room for 6 months lost half my body weight and lost my mind for a time. You are saying you detoxed 4mg a day COLD after 10 years of daily use . Call me what you like but there is no way I can get my head round that, a placedo may have been used on you is my only explanation.

Hi sewerrats,
No, I wasn't on a placebo! I used Klonopin only when I needed it and never popped it like candy. Some days I needed 1mg, other days I needed 2-4mgs, I never used it unless it was necessary.
I'm sorry you don't believe I stopped, without going through withdrawal. There's no reason for me to make this up.

Sorry but you made it sound like you had been on 4mg a day for 8 years, you would be able to detox easy the way you took klonopin people use it like that has a wrecky drug. Be carful how you word your post , I no you said using up to 4mg a day for 8 years ,it gives people the impression you were taking near on that amout every day, where has you were going days maybe weeks with none giving vunerable people the wrong impression

I've had good results, too, with Clonazepam. Really helps my anxiety. Made me a little sleepy at first but it got better.

Iv never been addicted to Klonopin. It works good for me. No sleepiness. It helps my Ptsd and agoraphobia. When I first took it back in 05 I was on 1mg 2x a day for over a year. Other than initial irritability, which I think was more of a psychological thing, I had no other withdrawl symptoms. Like the girl up there said, everyones bodies are different. Example: I took 30mgs of demerol 50mgs of hydrocodone and drank a pint and a half of vodka everyday for 3 years. Went cold turkey. No DT symptoms other than an ulcer from my drug/alcohol abuse.

I take Klonopin and it works great for my anxiety. I've been taking it over a year and no signs of tolerance. I take 1 mg 3 x a day as needed. The only problem I have with it is it slows down my metabolism and makes it harder to lose weight.
